College Football Playoff

In many ways it has never been better. We will still probably end up with a Georgia-Ohio State final game which is where we thought we would be Week 1. The playoff plus NIL and the portal as expected has leveled the playing field within each conference. The Big Ten is the only conference where the top is clearly better than middle or bottom. All the other conferences any team can win or lose on a given week.

The talent level inside these conferences is very similar. The biggest change is the gap in talent has been closed. The SEC still has the most talent but within that conference the gap has closed between Georgia-Alabama and the rest of the conference. Big Ten that gap hasn’t closed as much. The ACC the gap has closed. Big 12 every team is the same talent wise.

This is where all the talking heads get data twisted. This game of predicting the best teams is insane. All the talking heads now all have beating podcasts. Their win rate is at best 50 percent. The perception is talent is all that matters but really how do you accurately predict how that talent will perform? You can’t that is why the games have to be played. That is why teams records and losses do matter.

IU has been discussed a lot. They lost to an Ohio State who has the most talent in the country. IU only gave up 300 yards, to a loaded Ohio State offense. The talent difference is significant but game was going into half 7-7 if their kicker didn’t drop the ball. They should be in the playoff but SEC lovers will lose their mind because Alabama may get left out. Who got their doors blown off by Oklahoma. IU won’t get their doors blown off by anyone else in the field. They may even win a game with the right matchup. The committee has to stop playing predicting game when placing teams in playoff. Miami and SMU win out they both should get in. Clemson may get a back door if they beat South Carolina. Which I don’t think will happen but if they do they deserve it more than a three loss SEC team.

The fall out from this past weekend is crazy and exactly how I thought a playoff would impact the game. Teams inside the ACC have an easier path to the playoff and that is a good thing. The SEC willingly created a world where they will eat their own. A NFL playoff model is coming…..watch. Each power 5 conference should get equal AQ’s. Then let the games determine the title winner.

Is UK better then their record. Or just as bad

Louisville lost to Stanford. Yes, they can lose to UK. Look around the country pure chaos with teams losing left and right. Their roster is as good or better than Louisville’s roster.

Even with yesterday I still have no faith in the defense. Very unlikely Louisville puts up 30
on them. My guess is 20-24 points. Even though KY hasn’t put up that many points they probably will against our defense.

Oh I've watched them a lot (hoping to see them lose) their defense is legit. They also have a very good running back that could give us a hard time. Their QB will likely be the worst one we face all year so that a positive, although, they do have 2 big time receivers if he can get them the ball. They also have Barion Brown who can break a kickoff or punt for a touchdown as we all well know from last year..

We lose these games because we get intimidated. Pissing that game away last year hurt us a lot. It could've got the monkey off our back and gave us confidence going in there this year.

As I've said since day one this season, I'll believe us beating them when I see it. #Brohmneedstowinthisone

Indiana

You're probably right unless OSU blows them out. Other teams losing will help the Hoosiers as well. BYU's loss helped IU as would a SMU loss. I only see one ACC team making it if SMU loses.

Imagine the uproar if Clemson made it in over IU.
IU is solidly in.. They went into that game ranked 5th, no way they drop all the way out. I mean damn, they lost to the number 2 team in the country on their home field. Not exactly a horrible loss..

Indiana

There will be those upset but IU is not going to the playoff. They had just 154 total yards today. It was like their finals test and they failed. How can they be rewarded?

How many two and three loss teams would also be undefeated playing IU's schedule? Several in most people's opinion. How about the Cards even, Stanford not withstanding.

I think it would be more controversial if IU does make the playoff.
It will be interesting. I can't put a 3 loss BAMA, Ole Miss or aTm ahead of them and am doubtful about a 2nd and 3rd place teams from the Big 12. But I can see three teams from the ACC - Miami, SMU and Clemson jumping them regardless of outcome.

IU has a gawdy record but does not pass the eyeball test for me.

VIDEO: Your Opinion On PK Answer?

I think the negative buzz is that some think he doesn't have a lot of accountability as far as guys being careless or not being physical and it seems to be okay. "Get 'em next time guys."

Pryor dribbling around the perimeter then throwing it away is hard for me to watch.

But I'm still very happy he's here. So so so much better that Captain Cluster F
This is what I've heard a lot.. just letting things go with no consequences.. It's not okay to dribble into traffic time after time and lose the ball and make bad passes and not be held accountable.

I know he's Mr positivity but that won't play here if he's not winning. If he wins, he can wear a clown suit to the games and do magic tricks at halftime.
