Regionals can get weird but for the most part you have to limit scoring to 4-5 runs. Anything over that good luck. Not saying they can’t have a weekend full of scoring but that usually isn’t the case. If the team isn’t the 1 seed you see 2 number 1 pitchers. Scoring is limited.

We will see they could be hosting.

Not sure where your seats are located. I’m in 205. Had similar increase in price this year. I called ticket office and they advised that they added a mandatory donation to that section this year.

The simple answer is that this is pretty common. Similar to what the Orioles are currently experiencing at the MLB level. I think the O's have the 3rd worst ERA in the league so naturally their hitters are trying to hit 2 and 3 run HR's instead of just getting on base for the next guy. Next guy is doing the same thing. They know they need to score at least 4 to 5 runs to even have a chance at winning. Our Cards are different in that they can be overly aggressive on the bases but that is Dan's MO. Although it is pretty successful against non conference teams, once you start playing the upper tier ACC teams, it can definitely lead to rally killers. I don't see any signs of open frustration with this team so I think they are still connected to each other. Injuries have definitely played a hugh part, especially Klein and Dettmers, but again once we get into regional play, can we be consistent, both on the mound and at the plate.

I doubt the guys batting have a lot of confidence in their pitching staff. Yes, they will support them and cheer them on. But, have confidence in them…doubtful.

I agree I can’t see many scenario’s in a regional where they beat an ace in the 1st game. At that point they will be screwed. Even if they do then pitchers have to be really good to beat the 1 seed in game 2.

Hard to really complain because it has been a good year. It is a missed opportunity because they are good enough offensively to win a regional or super.

It would be different if there was no hope, but this is a team that has demonstrated at times some rather impressive performances. Our first baseman, our second baseman and our shortstop have been exceptional most of this season, and defensively our outfield has been as good as any in the ACC. Our overall hitting with a healthy Klein in the lineup is as good as there is; just no explanation for what happened in South Bend this weekend.

I get what you're saying but this team is so up and down. I can't see them stringing very many wins together. Yeah they have shown flashes, like against Clemson and FSU then struggle against some middling teams.. That's why this is one of the most frustrating teams we've had under CDM.

When he comes into the game we have to play Chariots of Fire or Polstar.
