Playoff

Don't think playoffs are a reality.

SMU has to lose all 3 remaining conference games.

Clemson has to lose to Pitt.

Miami has to lose both to Wake and Syracuse.

We have to beat Stanford and Pitt.

But the most likely would take 2 things to happen, Clemson losing to Pitt and Miami losing both of their games even if we win out.
What has to happen for us just to get into the ACC Championship game besides running the table? That's probably the only possible way to catapult whoever it is we would play and obviously would have to win that game very convincingly to work into that top 12.

Who foresees a Indiana vs Louisville bowl matchup?

Well Push, prepared to be disappointed because if IU loses to OSU, they're not getting in. Unless of course there are upsets at the top.

There is just no way I can forsee a program like IU who may as well be a group of 5 team with their schedule and their history, get in over 2 loss programs like Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss, Texas and Clemson. I don't see them getting in over 1 loss teams like BYU and ND, assuming BYU loses one game.

It's not right but it's the reality of college football. IU needs a big win and OSU is their only chance. It's just bad luck that Michigan and Washington are so down this season.

CBSsports now projecting Indiana in as the last at large. Being competitive next week at Ohio State will definitely be all important. And of course a win against OSU and Purdue would clinch at least an at large, no matter the result in the Big Ten championship game.

Also projecting Cards in the Gator versus LSU on Jan 2nd.

LOUISVILLE VS #12 TENNESSEE GAME THREAD- NOON ACCN

Fans hoping for style adjustment probably need to forget that. We aren't going to suddenly grow a post player or two. Now they can improve if they stick with it they all did just meet. But there are always going to be limitations given what they have.
Hopefully they will make the adjustment to not Jack up a 3 every other shot. It drives me nuts when a player gets a layup or put back opportunity and they pass it back out for another 3.

Not Ready For Prime Time

This was my concern with the middle. Scott is still just a SOPH that didn't start @ Charleston last year. In a perfect scenario, he's your energy guy off the bench and accumulating fouls for him is irrelevant in a 10-15 min role.

So he's either going to have to develop very quickly or they might need to take a look at letting him play off the pine where his game might be better suited.
I think we started off at least 2 of our exhibitions with Scott getting dunks. I think that was by design. Kelsey knows that as soon as he enters the game, he's going to foul and hence he gets nothing out of him. Unfortunately it happened when he started as well. Plus he knows he can't have Pryor and Waterman picking up early fouls guarding other team's big. I do think having Khalifa would have made us better inside. At least that is my theory.

LOUISVILLE VS #12 TENNESSEE GAME THREAD- NOON ACCN

Nice short sell on facts. I predicted that exact thing on media and the books predictions on that last hacks performance. +1,5 UL'S favor isn't what i was thinking would be predicted. Also not so glad you didn't want to think we couldn't win. Be a little more positive. Did you think we were going to lose by 20+? If the spread was +10 for tenn would you have thought different? And yes I predicted a win because I'm a Louisville fan. What would you expect.
I thought there was a chance to win but at the same time, I knew it was a lot to ask from this team. The line moving to Louisville as a favorite really perplexed me and if I was some dude living in Illinois I would have bet on UT big time.

But I held hope that at least we would stay close, but we were just not ready for a top team playing at their best. Maybe later but not in game two. We needed UT to overlook Louisville and they clearly did not.

Coach Kelsey has to find a post game or we're going to have similar results against top teams. There has to be some form of scoring threat down low to get our perimeter players some space to do their thing.

It is a good thing that most looked at Louisville as a good team and not a laughing stock. I figured the line would be 6 or 7 points and if it would have been, I would have lost money.

It's a long season. We're learning as we go, fans and the team.

What is our chances and what needs to happen for us to make the PO'S after Miami losing and Pitt losing??? **** I wish Clemson lost too but of course they came back. But our chances HAVE to be better with those two losing right?

Bengals robbed big time

One of the announcers mentioned last night that he was learning on the job. IDK which one. At least the Ravens DBs tackle.
Yeah, this is his first stint as a coordinator, only been a linebackers coach until now. Ravens lost 3 defensive coaches from last year and decided to stay within the organization due to his chemistry with Roquan Smith and other players.

I wonder if they brought in Ray Lewis to help...

to me, they had a punchers chance but got punched as soon as the bell rang and they didn't have the confidence to overcome as they've never been in that situation as a group. it reminded me of several past bball and football blowout losses where the opponent got us from the start, we didn't score or execute as we should, and it snowballed. honestly, i believe they've had it too easy with ball movement, dunks, steals, defense, etc that they were way overconfident, and maybe rightly so. but when TN came out and took it straight to them, combined with no shots falling, they got steamrolled both physically and mentally. we'll see what type of coach PK is based on what types of adjustments are made for the next game. either way, rough start, but let's hope a motivator.

Will the Cards be ranked?

I think I am leaning toward official’s especially in the replay booth were incompetent. Officials are going to make mistakes on the field it happens sometimes at a bad time. Louisville in that regard were extremely unlucky.

What the 1st version of the playoff rankings showed you again this is a TV product. It doesn’t matter, you aren’t a brand you have a steeper hill to climb. Then if you aren’t in SEC and Big 10 you are climbing a cliff.

BYU, Army and Indiana undefeated are behind teams that lost. Why? BYU has 2 top 20 wins they should be in the top 5. IU should be in Top 5. Miami was top 4 who had they beaten? Brand it is all about the brand. At some point BYU and IU may get exposed but it was ridiculous to not have them in the Top 5 when they haven’t lost. Mississippi is going to get a lot of love but you know what they have 2 losses against teams outside the top 25. Watch how far they jump. Miami watch how far they will drop.

The margin for error for non brand teams and for teams outside the SEC and Big 10 ridiculously small.
I think I agree... not sure. Does anyone think Indiana could beat Georgia or Alabama right now? I think IU fans do but who else?

Some of you need to watch Harvard play; talk about being competitive against inferior talent!

Kelsey will figure out how to make this team more competitive against superior athletes. I am not predicting a complete turnaround in one season, but given the short period that he has been in town, it was unrealistic to expect these kids to match up with Tennessee.

Lack of patience in the half court offense was brought on by our inability to get any separation from the tight man-to-man defense.
