Here is my two cents'

I think you used a poor choice there, maybe choose skilled trades over biochemistry, physics, geometry (although those things did help me in my career) but they should choose/agree to use English as their primary choice to communicate.

English 101 was a metaphor for entry level and basic college education.

The larger point I was attempting to make -- ROI of a bachelor's degree isn't the same as someone who apprentices for a trade (electrician, HVAC, plumbing, etc etc etc). So, student athletes who go to college while playing the sport they love and are good at, aren't getting the value for their scholly and degree that they may have received in the past.

And I agree .... English should be the national language.

Louisville vs Purdue

The setting was nearly perfect. My seats were precisely at the net. 8 rows high.
Guardsman - I saw DeBeer slam at least 2 balls, one off a Purdue's player head/face who was apparently looking elsewhere and one off the chest off another player who was set but not able to return it.

My question is who is the hardest hitting spiker on our team and how fast do you think they are hitting it at?

Jamari Johnson WTF…

I would be surprised if either come here. Klare is going to visit Texas. Good luck matching their offer if they really want him. Not sold on Louisville being able to pay both Moss and Robinson.

We will see. The SEC has FU money Louisville just has money. Louisville is the small market team that has to moneyball the shit of this. It is threading a needle.

An example the QB from freaking North Texas who is garbage, rumor is he asking 1M. North Texas had a really good offense his numbers are good but he isn’t P4 level. Moss is easily in the 3-4M range.

Johnson to Oregon would be my guess. They lose Ferguson.
Not saying you're wrong, but Klare has some history with Brohm. It makes sense he's leaving Purdue, they didn't win a lot of games and consequently no exposure. Yes, Texas and the SEC has more money but each player still has to consider playing time so the question becomes do I get more NIL money to go sit behind someone like Helm, who is a senior and semifinalist for John Mackey award or do I go play for someone he knows will get him a chance to play right away and at least have an opportunity for more money and playing professionally?

The other thing you have to consider at someplace like Texas, Georgia, Alabama, Ohio st, etc is that these schools are always looking and are usally able to go out and get who they want because of their name. I just don't think at a place like Louisville that Jeff is going to over recruit you unless you're not performing to his expectations. Thats where it is a two way street.

Yes, but Brohm wants his dude for spring practice. That's a no brainer!
Look the important thing is getting who he thinks is the right guy. The last two QB transfers were 5th year guys. You think two weeks of spring football practice is going to make a big difference how these guys will perform. You have to assume that Jeff has done his homework and sees guys who only need a tweak or two. Thats a no brainer.

To be fair, the value of a college education nowadays is not nearly what it was a couple of decades ago.

The pendulum is starting to swing back as people choose skilled trades over English 101. Frankly, I don't blame them.

Louisville vs Purdue

In my post following the razor close win over UNI, I sensed that it could result in a significant motivation for the Cards. I made that suggestion based on having witnessed Anna start crying almost immediately after the win over UNI. There are always winners and losers, and no doubt there will be stories focused on individual players; however the “Anna DeBeer story” will be a difficult one to match given the hometown background, and her returning after her injury.

The UL performance over Purdue last night may very well be recognized as the single most dominant one when featuring two top ten WVB Teams over this entire season for all schools. Several knowledgeable media acknowledged as much following the match; some at first trying to rationalize that maybe Purdue was under performing. In truth, these UL Women were that incredibly good, and I think the manner in which the UNI contest played out might very well propel them to play the very best volleyball of their lives.

I'm not asking you or anyone else to trust anything I say. I'm just giving an opinion that may be wrong or right. Why this need to act like I believe I know more than Brohm? Of course I don't. If Brohm came out and said he loves Moss and wants him more than anybody, I would say okay, let's go do it.

I don't pretend to know more than anyone. I'm just a football fan who watches a lot of games and seen many of these dudes play. I just convey my thoughts here on the message board to create conversation, but some here for some strange reason act like I think my opinions shouldn't be countered and that is simply not the case.

I like the dude Mendoza at California and it's not because I live there or even seen all his games. I have been more impressed with him than any other name mentioned but he may not be interested in Louisville? I don't know. I just don't get why you feel the need to tell a fellow Cards fan he's wrong about his opinion on any players considering transferring to Louisville. You can be just a wrong!
The first two paragraphs of your post apply to everyone on here. As for me, in Brohm I trust.

1000% wrong on a QB committing until bowl game. We play on 12/31. Portal closes on 12/28 and classes start 1/8. If that happens, we are in deep shit, unless Pierce, Deuce, or Mims is the answer. Staff doesnt seem to think thats the case!
You're right about this. We definitely will know before December 31. I didn't realize the portal closed before the bowl game and I temporarily forgot we were playing on New Years Eve. We usually play our bowl games earlier. Good call.

I'm not so much worried about who Brohm gets, but more about who I would prefer he get.

Sorry, I just couldn't let this pass. We are suppose to trust what you have seen? Do you live in Calif. Have you watched all his games? I would bet Brohm or someone on staff has seen more tape of every possble QB transfer than what you have seen. Sorry! It also goes without saying that I trust Brohm, who has made 2 good if not great decisions on who to QB our team but yet you pretend to know more about this guy. Also just for the record, if size of the QB was the only deciding factor for QB, I don't believe Clarkson would still be here. You are also wrong about the only important thing in the bowl game is the QB play. Its way behind what our OL, DL and secondary will look like next year. Nothing personal but you're way off on this one.

We are hopefully getting a committment from the #8 transfer in the country, Purdue TE Max Klare. That may be why Johnson decided to transfer.

There is also the USC TE Duce Robinson who may be linked to the QB. Hes a 5-star recruit and a lot of scouts consider him more of a WR than a TE. He was one of Moss's favorite targets.

The data is clear. However the SEC, Big Ten and TV executives should examine why? It has led to discussions of breaking off going on their own. Which is pure arrogance which can lead to bad decisions. College football is a national sport. By breaking off their TV audience would decline. They would still draw a good audience but growth would be challenging.

I think the NCAA basketball tournament is a good example of the product brings eyeballs. The entire country watches the NCAA tournament. The public doesn’t care about the final outcome they care about all the drama leading up to the final game.

The same is true for the playoff. The ratings matter but you can’t fix the system to get the ratings. The product will bring eyeballs. When you give preference to conferences it does influence the whole system. The power 4 conferences should get the same AQ’s. Giving the SEC and Big Ten more AQ is rigging the system.
