totally forgot he was there...yes!Or College of Charleston ... coached by Chris Mack. (I have no idea how CoC is doing, but there are interesting story lines in that matchup.)
BOOM!During our much discussed coach search , with lots of hand ringing going on, I watched College of Charleston play several games. What I saw was an undermanned team playing their asses off, that's coaching. I said at that time I wanted Pat Kelsey as our coach because if he could inspire those guys to play so hard ,what could he do with more/better talent. Now we know. I love how this team never quits, dives for balls, doesn't backdown from any one. Again that's coaching. GO CARDS!!
I was going to say in the last three games alone.Scott has more dunks this year than our last two years’ teams combined LOL.
We can celebrate the SEC not looking as great, but Clemson and SMU hurt the ACC terribly. This playoff didn't do anything to help the cause of the ACC.Agreed; the Portal was the one development that ESPN did not anticipate when they initiated their strategy to encourage the SEC expansion. The BIG may have been the major recipient of these “unintended consequences”, as countering with attracting Oregon. Regrettably the ACC was late to the show, responding with the leftovers.
As for UL, we are in a great position to advance inside this ACC.
I think I read they had a player streaming live on his social media from Miami during the game and another one of their players left the field to hit the concession stand in his jersey during the game. At least in the old days they'd have some fight and throw a trash can or two lolI disagree with that. Beating us was the ONLY thing they had to play for and if they had it would have been 5-6 straight. They should have been highly motivated to beat us to salvage any pride out of a crappy season for them.
"Istan and Juffer" are a big downgrade for Louisville basketball as front court players. I don't think they will be here after the season.I agree. They are talented, but, limited. Athleticism is a factor IMO. When I saw Hardy play earlier in the season I thought she had superior ‘bounce’ when compared to Harris and Cochran. Seemed like she could provide some rim protection. Maybe she is going to RS in order to develop her overall game some more. Istan and Juffer are more in the ‘plodder’ category. That is not a negative. I don’t recall names, but Notre Dame and Iowa both had posts who were not jumping-jacks. Instead they were space eaters who utilized their size and strength to move people, create space and make easy baskets. I think they both can develop into those types of players.
