The North Carolina State Wolfpack came into Lynn Stadium at 5-6-2 and 1-4 in ACC action. The Cards put their 7-3-1 and 3-2 conference mark on the line against a NC State squad riding an upset 2-1 overtime win over #4 Duke at Durham on Thursday.

It was the TarHeels striking first, with 12 minutes gone in the afternoon match. The 1-0 held at the half and NCST proceed to build on it 4 minutes into second half action.

Down 2-0, Louisville eventually got on the board when Sarah Hernandez scored with 26 minutes left in the final half, but that was the end of the scoring for either team in the match.

Looking at this one in terms of ACC rankings, the stumble puts Louisville tied with Clemson (with nine points) just outside the cadre of schools that are in the top-six of the conference. Only six make the ACC Women's Soccer tournament.

Boston College comes to Lynn Friday. The Eagles are at the bottom of the ACC standings with no conference wins yet.
