What comes first for UofL basketball ????

Just remember, most of these top 25 teams are losing unexpectedly as well. Many who were saying glowing things about UL, were the same ones saying exactly the same about Vanderbilt. The Commodores lost by 30 to unrated Sooners last night. St John’s was lucky to have survived at home last night, or they would have been included in the upsets.

The teams aren't ranked but if they can lose @ GT then that tells you the margins are thin.

They've got 3 guys out again, and it's possible they are wearing down. Not sure. It's also possible opposing coaches might have enough film on them to scout. They took away the lob yesterday.

So it will be interesting to see what happens. They've over-achieved, maybe they are going to fade. I hope they don't. Not sure what the magic # is going to be. Pitt and Stanford are probably the highest rated games left, so losses to any other to go with the GT loss would hurt.

You make some good points. One that I posted in another thread, are teams figuring us out. GTech easily took Scott and Reyne completely out of the game.. I also have thought maybe we caught lightning in a bottle on our 10 game winning streak and maybe we aren't as good as we think and we were just getting all the right bounces.. Who knows..

I remember coaching my daughters AAU team in Atlanta a few years ago, we blew through Friday and Saturday pool play and lost on Sunday to a team we had played several times that hadn't been within 20 pts of us in any other game. I remember our kids saying how did we lose that game ? We played our butts off and we're way better than them. Both things were true, but we were not focused at all. Physically they gave it all they had, they just didn't execute and made some very uncharacteristic mistakes. Sometimes you think you're playing good, but you're just not. Hopefully that's the deal with the Cards and we can shake this off..

Anyway, I'm glad to be getting back to hating losses and expecting wins. Hopefully this is just a matter of complacency and we win out the regular season..
