Not trying to minimize the disappointment in losing to GT, but aside from Auburn, Duke and a few others; yesterday was an indication that parity in college basketball is increasing and those who rely on the 3, are likely to die by the 3 at times.

Hopefully CPK doesn't minimize the loss because signs were showing in the last 10 minutes of the Wake Forest game. This team got too comfortable. I definitely saw some bad signs and I hope PK can get this team refocused. It was probably good to have a close game but there's no way to put a good spin on the way they lost.

Teams lose all the time, the way you lose and who you lose to is what matters. I wonder how many of those teams blew a 13 point lead against a team as bad as GTECH..

It was a terrible loss ,we were sloppy, we got what we deserved. Going to be interesting to see how Kelsey pulls them back together. We are not an overly talented team, we win on our will and just out grind the other team. We started out that way yesterday then the wheels came off.. Signs were definitely showing the last 10 minutes of the the Wake game and followed us to lastnights game.

When we go on the those droughts and lose focus Kelsey needs to recognize it right away and call some timeouts to try to refocus everyone..

Next few games will be interesting, hopefully this is fixable and doesn't ruin the rest of the season. Losses like this can make the wheels fall off the season... I love this team and Kelsey. This loss hurt !

I think it is the lack of depth that is causing the 2 half “collapses”.
The players shots are short and they get sloppy which are signs of fatigue
If they hit their free throws we would be talking about a different game though

I would agree on the fatigue but we just had a week off and GTech played the whole game with 6 players..

Yeah, but GT hasn't been putting that much energy in their past 10 games. Cards were due for a letdown because they have been playing so hard and focused for two months.

It's going to lead to physical and mental fatigue.

They weren't coming off a week off either. It's not fatigue ! We were sloppy and unfocused and got away from what we do. It was a lot like the EKU game that we could've lost, hopefully it's a one off thing but we played really bad the last 15 minutes 2 games in a row.

Still love the team and coach Kelsey, I'm just not going to sugar coat a bad loss because we played like sht..

Glad you asked CR:

#11 Kansas blew a 21 point lead in their 11 point loss to unranked Baylor. Earlier in the day, one of the worst KSU (10-11) teams in recent memory went into Ames Iowa and beat #3 Iowa State by 19 points. That is just one Saturday; it is an ever-increasing phenomenon in college basketball.

As I stated in the post that you referenced, I am not trying to excuse our performance at GT, but you might want to conduct a little research about GT before you minimize their ability to be competitive on a given day. The injuries have plaqued GT all year, evidenced by their 6 player rotation. Saturday was the first game in several weeks where Lance Terry was 100%, and most recognize that he is as talented as any player in the ACC not named Cooper Flagg.

Same players played about the same amount of minutes during our 10 game winning streak. Reyne only shot 6 times. I don't think he was tired. He just didn't get the ball like he usually does. Rooths only played 10 mins, Frank 2 mins, and Traore 21. If our players were tired, wouldn't CPK substitute more? GT actually missed more FT's than we do so you could say we could have lost by a lot more.

Good points,I mean teams have won a national championship with a 7 man rotation..
