Not trying to minimize the disappointment in losing to GT, but aside from Auburn, Duke and a few others; yesterday was an indication that parity in college basketball is increasing and those who rely on the 3, are likely to die by the 3 at times.
Teams lose all the time, the way you lose and who you lose to is what matters. I wonder how many of those teams blew a 13 point lead against a team as bad as GTECH..Not trying to minimize the disappointment in losing to GT, but aside from Auburn, Duke and a few others; yesterday was an indication that parity in college basketball is increasing and those who rely on the 3, are likely to die by the 3 at times.
I think it is the lack of depth that is causing the 2 half “collapses”.Hopefully CPK doesn't minimize the loss because signs were showing in the last 10 minutes of the Wake Forest game. This team got too comfortable. I definitely saw some bad signs and I hope PK can get this team refocused. It was probably good to have a close game but there's no way to put a good spin on the way they lost.
I would agree on the fatigue but we just had a week off and GTech played the whole game with 6 players..I think it is the lack of depth that is causing the 2 half “collapses”.
The players shots are short and they get sloppy which are signs of fatigue
If they hit their free throws we would be talking about a different game though
Yeah, but GT hasn't been putting that much energy in their past 10 games. Cards were due for a letdown because they have been playing so hard and focused for two months.I would agree on the fatigue but we just had a week off and GTech played the whole game with 6 players..
They weren't coming off a week off either. It's not fatigue ! We were sloppy and unfocused and got away from what we do. It was a lot like the EKU game that we could've lost, hopefully it's a one off thing but we played really bad the last 15 minutes 2 games in a row.Yeah, but GT hasn't been putting that much energy in their past 10 games. It's going to lead to physical and mental fatigue.
