Biggest Winners from Day 3 of the 2025 NFL Combine

The weekend brought the big names to the forefront at this year's NFL Scouting Combine, as Saturday's action at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis features some of the top prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft class at quarterback, running back and wide receiver.

Though many of the most recognizable players opted not to participate in Saturday's on-field drills, that opened up an opportunity for others to shine, and there was a long list of talented performers who made the most of that chance.

Here are just a few of the players who improved their draft stock with an impressive showing on Day 3 of this year's event:

QB Tyler Shough, Louisville

With Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders both opting out of the on-field workouts, the question was which one of the remaining quarterback prospects would emerge with a stellar workout. Shough checked that box for himself, starting things off with an impressive 40-yard dash, and he was the only quarterback to run it at all.

Shough's age (he'll be a 25-year-old rookie) and injury history will work against his draft stock, but he's got prototypical size and arm talent for an NFL starting quarterback, and he backed up his solid film with a strong showing in the on-field passing drills. He could sneak into the Day 2 range for the right team.

Sneaking into Day 2 would be pretty good. 2nd or 3rd round to the right team could be great for him
