IU fans want Woodson fired and pointed out the lack of effort in the clip below, especially from big man Oumar Ballo who cost a lot of NIL money and was supposed to visit UofL but committed to IU before it happened.
I'm not sure Jeff or anyone else knows who has spent the most. My guess here is per league, the $EC has spent the most, and they own the most T25 teams and dominate the T10. Jeff is reaching.
I don't think anyone outside knows for sure. But IU has a huge donor base and Arky has big Tyson chicken money. Lol
i think the sec has spent the most on coaching and that's got their teams in the top 25, not nil. SEC realized a decade ago they better start paying bball coaches or league would always be uk dominated. then auburn, alabama, tennessee, ole miss, and the likes dumped money into the coaches whereas before all money went into football. it's not nil making those teams great, it's that they have some of the best college bball coaches. bruce pearl makes his teams great not nil. and goodman did say "Might" but you can get a pretty good idea of what each school has spent by reading the tea leaves, hearing what offers were turned down and what the going rates are. but my guess is he's probably close to accurate.
It really breaks my heart to see Bloomington struggle. No other fanbase deserves it more. 😂😂

It is freakin' impressive that a state it's size has produced so many billionaires.
By contrast Kentucky may have 4 or 5.
-- The Brown family of Brown Forman may be in the billionaire club.
-- The father daughter combo of Public Storage, B Wayne Hughes, and Tamara Hughes Gustavson are definitely in the billionaire club.
-- I don't know if Junior Bridgeman is in that club either, but I know he was pretty close not too long ago.
But that's about it.
It'd be awesome to have a couple of the low-end Arkansas peeps in our corner. We'd be damn near unstoppable.
Pearl has been @Auburn over a decade. He's had one T10 finish. He hasn't had great teams. He has 1 F4 in 18 yrs in the SEC.
Some of those SEC coaches have been around for decades and they have a combined 1 title.
The guy with the title is a fraud who just so happens to be getting NIL support amirite? Jeff says so and I think he "might" be right. But who knows.
They are an upgrade compared to the past but the league took off when NIL became law of the land.
You don't understand the point I was making about Goodman's tweet either. And no offense but tea leaves are not really piles of evidence. Anyone can tweet something about NIL amounts and I'm not specifically referencing the teams mentioned by Jeff who seems to want to imply NIL doesn't matter. Which is hilariously out of touch.
Nobody prefers the cheaper players. Those spenders he listed have HC problems.

And wal mart and JB trucking. Those 3 contribute A LOT to that area. I was down there for an interview last year and it was crazy how much that little college town has grown and is growing and its due to all 3 of them.
I agree 100 percent. They have good coaches but the ACC/Big East had the better players throughout their league. ACC had better players for a really long time. As soon as NIL kicked the ACC and Big East had a talent drain. Then to add to the talent drain ACC have made bad coaching hires. It is a combination good coaches really good talent.
Look at the SEC teams they were able to grab players from ACC-Big 12-Big Ten. Then they held on to their best returning players. They aren’t transferring because of coaching they are getting paid.
In this era you better spend wisely. You better recruit players that fit your schemes. Cal just takes the best players there is zero planning. Woodson was the same way. His entire offense is condensed which means Ballo has no room to operate. Zero guards that can stretch the floor.
Kelsey has a plan. Not worried about how they will build rosters.
Oh that's why Arkansas's football and basketball teams are both ranked #1.... NOT!
