Louisville Softball ran into one of the best pitchers in the ACC in Virginia Tech's Emma Lemley and she blanked the Cards with a seven-inning, three-hitter.

Louisville's best chance to score came in the sixth when Ally Alexander drew a leadoff walk and moved to third on a Jenni Servi single -- putting runners on the corners and bringing the potential tying run to the plate, but Virginia Tech. Lemley retired the next three batters to end the threat. She struck out 11 Cardinals batters.

The Cards got three innings from starter Taja Felder and Sam Booe came in for three innings in relief.

The squads finish up the series today with a noon start in Balcksburg and it'll be shown on ACC Network Extra.
