I was totally against it a couple years ago but I think self-imposing this year and next might be the best course of action. The NCAA will actually have a strong case against us this time around. Might be best to take drastic preemptive action. We are going nowhere and won’t be for awhile.

No, never cooperate ever again. Fight them to the death.

Better include a NIT ban too. Hell, let's just shut it down altogether. Give everyone their respective releases, fire the coaching staff and close down the basketball program. Refund the season ticket holders their money. If we're going to self impose then do it up right. o_O

Absolutely not. It’s not like it would help anyway. Screw chuck smrt - Make them prove anything and everything - don’t help them in any way.

I was one of the few people that argued that we should fight them the first time around. In fact I argued that Lee and Lewis should’ve filed an injunction to prevent UofL from self-imposing. I think the circumstances here are different. We don’t have a strong defense and are going to be burdened by this until the FBI completes their investigation. Better to bite the bullet now and then tell (or lie) to recruits that we already took our medicine. If we try to wait out the FBI investigation we may be indirectly imposing probation on our program for many extra years.

You all really should think about this strategically. We are essentially going to be self-imposing anyways because we aren’t going to be able to recruit. In short, we won’t have an NCAA caliber roster. Why not try and get some credit for that?

The NCAA is going to hammer us when they get the chance. We clearly broke major rules while on probation. I know everyone thinks we didn’t get credit for the self-imposed ban but keep in mind they didn’t ban us from any future tourneys. When we threw ourselves at the mercy of the NCAA the first time, we committed ourselves to their “authority”. It was a bad decision but that’s the course we have charted. No going back on that now. Best to make a logical decision now.

You're not going to do anything this year anyway. Take the ban, hire a coach and move on.
