Louisville needs to upgrade their salaries for women’s coaches there is a huge disparity between what we were paying DBK and what Nebraska is paying. After 8 years Louisville was paying DBK $400.000 per year plus bonuses and her starting salary at Nebraska will be $700.000 plus bonuses. Dan Meske will have a starting salary of $300,000 plus bonuses. We need to take better care of our women’s programs.

DBK is being paid based on her record at U of L and consistently in the conversation for a NC. She's also replacing a coach that has won several NC's. Although we fans believe Meske will not miss a beat, he doesn't get the same credit as DBK, at least not yet. He still has to earn that, DBK doesn't.

What I am pointing out is DBK has been our coach for 8 years and has elevated the program on the national level. They rewarded with a $400,000 dollar salary which they thought was good. She hasn’t done anything for Nebraska yet but they pay her $700,000 to start. How long do you have to have that much success before your salary is elevated to the other top programs.
