LOTS of buckets.

Former Louisville star Russ Smith is getting buckets in China.
Throughout his time at Louisville, Russ Smith was always a dynamic player. He was capable of scoring points in bunches.

Since leaving UL, Smith showed off his scoring prowess in the NBA’s D-League,
setting a league record with a 65-point game in 2016.

Now suiting up for Luoyang in the Chinese National Basketball League, Russ is averaging over 60 points per game through his first five contests. He is also coming off an 81-point effort.

It looks like “Russdiculous” is alive and well overseas.

We can’t wait to see what other numbers he’ll put up.

From another article:

Former Louisville basketball star Russ Smith is having quite the summer in China.

In five games with Luoyang in the second-tier National Basketball League, the 6-foot Smith is averaging 61 points, 6.2 rebounds, 4.4 steals and 3.6 assists.

Smith scored 81 points in his latest game, making 25 field goals, including 10 3-pointers, and 21 free throws. His lowest scoring total in a game so far is 42 points.

For the season, Smith has made 49 percent of his field goals, including 37 percent of his 3-pointers. He is shooting 87.4 percent from the free-throw line.

Luoyang was 1-3 through four games, though it wasn't immediately clear if the team won the contest in which Smith scored 81 points.
