Well since we had a late game tonight and i had to watch the kid, which means i’m sober, we have some early results for the pick ‘em. Looks like our new King this week is one that’s held the Crown before and that is Cardrock! 13 correct picks took the Throne this week and two people had that number. which may be our lowest total yet to win. The total points of the UofL-NCStategame, which was 54, decided the tiebreak and Cardrock was closer with a total of 65 to Wreckcard’s 70. Good job to both, and all hail Cardrock this week!

shame, I thought we weren't picking with the spread? I thought in the first week you started this that you wrote that you were putting the spread in there only for reference for us. I was thinking point for win (straight up) and point for over and under. Have I been doing it wrong? TIA

Technically we’re betting the spread (as opposed to the money line, in gambling terms the money line would mean you are betting the game straight up) and over/unders. Sorry if I confused you or anyone else. You are doing well either way as far as the spread goes

I will update the results but he is correct, he had 13 and the tiebreaker, so this weeks Crown actually goes to Cardrock, which makes him a two time winner here. As far as the counts go, I actually posted results of the games to the thread for the first time this week and will continue to do so, so please everyone check my math weekly as I am known to get in a hurry at times and appreciate the help double checking. Congrats Cardrock! Apologies again to both Cardrock and Wreckcard!

My spouse grew up around Churchill Downs and has been into the horses all his life. He's really good at it too. I bet the opposite of him and bet long shots based on the liking of the horse name. I'm not so good but every once in awhile I pick a Mine That Bird horse because I'm a bird feeder so I always bet Bird named horses.

Doesn't that seem logical to you?
