Oklahoma State Cowboys are representing the Big 12 conference and are making a return trip to Patterson Stadium after the cards defeated them in 3 games in the 2007 Super Regional. Head coach Josh Holliday got the OK St. job last summer after spending 3 years as an assistant coach at Vanderbilt. He is very familiar with Louisville and will probably be getting his scouting reports from Vandy.

Of the 9 main starters 3 are hitting over .300 and as a team they hit .285. They can do it all as they have 31 HR's, 116 doubles and 78 SB's. Combined they have almost 300 walks and HBP. As a team they do like to sac bunt has they have 70 on the year.

They have committed 68 errors and have a .969 fielding percentage. They are 38-57 against the steal.

They do have a solid 1-2 punch on the mound with RHP Hursh and LHP Nurdin. Louisville would likely see Nurdin if they meet in game 2. He has 64 K in 78.2 IP and has allowed 67 H and 22 Walks with 2 WP and 0 HBP. He's a guy that doesn't beat himself and will try to keep the ball down and low and away to the righties and pitch off of Louisville's aggressiveness at the plate.

OK St has a great chance of winning this regional. They have the offense and some good quality arms to get the job done. It will be a matchup of hitting vs pitching. Not only with Miami but also with Louisville. I just don't know if Miami has the offense to keep up with OK St. and a Saturday matchup vs Louisville on ESPN2 could be fun.

I did not have a chance to watch at this time the 6 minute interview, but what is interesting as Baseballguy mentions is that Holliday was an assistant at Vanderbilt from 2010-2012. His brother, Matt, also plays for the St. Louis Cardinals.
