BRICK WALL: Jake Cook

Cook came away with Offensive Line MVP honors at the camp largely thanks to the fact that he dominated one-on-ones. That included his reps against four-star Notre Dame defensive line commit
Chris Burgess Kudos to Burgess for taking the challenge on the interior when other campers did not want to, though. Cook has a powerful punch and quick feet. He’s reshaped his body as well which is allowing him to move better off the line. It’ll be interesting to see if other programs try to poach the Louisville commit.

Fast-rising DL Floyd Boucard sets verbal commitment date

Of course a July decision means critical June official visits, and Boucard will have more lined up in the weeks to come. For now, he is locked in with Louisville the weekend of May 31, Miami the weekend of June 7, Oklahoma beginning June 14 and Oregon a weekend later.

UA Ohio: Programs that should be pleased

LOUISVILLE

There is good news and bad news for Louisville being on this list. The good news is that the program did a great job identifying offensive lineman Jake Cook He was one of the top performers at camp and has done good work to improve his game. The bad news is that it’s no longer under wraps just how good Cook is. He was dominant in one-on-ones during the camp. Other programs are going to notice and come at Cook hard. Could that include the in-state Buckeyes? We’ll see about that. But no matter how it goes, Louisville will hope the early relationship pays off.
