Mike Summers back to The Ville as OL Coach

Do you think we can get some Florida Oline recruits to decommit? I couldn't help myself.
Would be nice to upgrade the entire line especially at center.

We not only need a quality center, but we also need an equal backup. Hipefully the backup uses this season to redshirt and learn the offense.

Do not forget, UF has a soon-to-be graduate looking to transfer - who plays CENTER. If this kid and Summers have a good relationship, this could not hurt our chances at all.

Assuming we could land him, this would be very beneficial in balancing out the classes at that position. One Senior with immediate eligibility. Sign a JUCO (perhaps two, redshirt one), and redshirt an incoming freshman.

Exactly... Cameron Dillard. Supposed to be visiting UofL soon.

this is the best news I have heard all month. I really liked the attitude I heard from our new Defensive coaches and Mike Summers, not a good O line coach, the BEST in the business. Maybe we can get Jeremy to be a Bush-like power runner next year. Too many times in the past few years, we struggled in the red zone with power running.

We need power runs period. The run opens up everything.

YES!! Kind of patting myself on the back here, but it went just as I'd hoped it would go. Most people were talking about Klenakis getting fired. I suggested hiring and established OL coach and reassigning Klenakis.

Summers is the new OL coach, and Klenakis stays on as TE coach.

By all accounts Klenakis is a really good recuriter, so we get to keep that in place and now we have a proven OL coach with a solid rep and many contacts in the south to further enhance recruiting.

Win win for everyone!!

Sounds good to me. I know I was satisfied with the product Coach Summers produced when he was here before.
