I’ve been watching all our former players playing today unfortunately they looked really good. Hopefully we look really good today and take care of business. I hope we follow the same road as the men because they look better every game.

We end the 1st half down 31-32 WF controlling the tempo. It is a slow down type of game we need to get our transition game going.
TOs, TOs, TOs and more TOs. And, many are just bad TOs. Half-court offense is not good today; stagnant, few cuts, lots of standing around. We get too may shots blocked. When you do not elevate at all when going up for a layup - that will happen.
This has to be one of the ugliest games I have seen the Louisville women play in years.
End of the 3rd quarter down by 2 if we don’t play better this quarter we will not win. We have to recognize their 3 point shooter and shut her down she is keeping WF in the game.
There is no flow in the game for us we are playing their game at their tempo and we aren’t use to it. Instead of attacking the basket we are just passing it around until we lose it.
No they aren’t consistent at all earlier the WF girl dragged her pivot foot 2 feet but there was no call. Lucky for us she threw it out of bounds.
Bad passing and bad defense. Ugh. A win will be a blessing.
Has to be the worst hoops IQ team Walz has had here at UofL. You simply cannot give WF a wide open 3 point shot when you know you have fouls to give with 14 seconds to go.

Exactly. That is their best shooter who has been nailing shots game. I don’t care if she was in the back-court someone had to be right on her. This group’s defensive discipline and communication is poor
Huh? We didn't cover that 3 point shot. She had all day to measure that shot.
What the hell Walz? Why call that timeout when your player stole the ball and was about to score? She was pissed and should be.
She's such a good 3 point shooter, it just makes no sense she doesn't shoot more. She had just 4 points until those two 3's in OT.
Louisville made WF look better than what they are. Walz helped in that effort.
She has been inconsistent in her play and shoot selection every since she has been here. None of them are restricted from shooting. She does not chose to be that alpha dog like Evans or Durr.
They executed no real attack of their zone. That IS the coaches responsibility and bourbon has nothing to do with coaching.
Scrappy win on the road by the ladies. 10-5 now and 3-1 in the ACC. Wasn’t pretty for much of it, but we did get just enough right in that fourth quarter and OT to come out on the right side. I always admire Olivia for battling down on the blocks despite often being at a size disadvantage.

Like you said "when the whistle blew". Defense let up. Walz didn't want a turnover or empty possession at that point.
Very happy we won, but that was a hard game to watch. Take the W and move on
100% correct. Starting to see a player, or two, willing to step up when needed. Jayda and Taj both. One other note - I thought Russell played a very good game. She didn’t force shots (which sue has a bit here and there); she played tough D and was really effective on offense when she was at the top of the key and responsible for moving the ball around.
