I really didn’t care who we played for the title because I liked our chances no matter who we played. However after watching the Nebraska vs PSU match I started cheering for PSU. The reason being is because of Nebraska’s fan base which is huge. I didn’t want them to outnumber us on our own home court.

Right there with you!! They were there in force and were loud. This will be the first time in 72 years that the NCAA VB champ will have a female HC! Hopefully the Husker fans will sell their tickets at reasonable prices so more UofL fans can get in.

Most of the Nebraska fans around courtside last night were up cheering for us over Pitt; obviously thinking Pitt was the favorite. The constant adjustments that Dani made in the 3rd set were truly the difference in the momentum switch to UL. No doubt the player's execution was absolutely central to the win, but Dani outcoached Dan Fisher and you could see his frustration in that 3rd set with his team's confusion with spacing.

Our early season loss at PSU was 3-0 and all 3 sets were in dominating fashion. I said then, they were the best WVB Team I had seen since Texas last season. We have improved significantly since that time, and I am not sure PSU is quite as good now as they were at that time.

I watched the PSU vs Nebraska match last night and the thing that stood out to me was that PSU had very few blocks at the net.

I agree Coach DBK out coached the Pitt coach and our players executed really well. I also think we have improved a lot since the season began. I remember earlier in the season and even mid season we were running into each other. Remember we just knocked off the #1 team in the country in 4 sets. The last set was in dominant fashion.

That Penn St match was an anomaly. PSU played flawlessly that day. UofL was a step behind all match and could never get into synch. Ot worried about that previous matchup.
