LOUISVILLE AT VIRGINIA TECH GAME THREAD- 9PM ACCN

This was a really good refereeing crew the best we have had all year. The announcers were also good I enjoyed everything about the game including the win under pressure.

This game had nothing to do with playing tight because of the ranking, or the attitude of not respecting its opponent. There's a reason why the Cards best stretch of the game was the beginning that had them up 20 to 6.

That's when they were at their freshest. But it didn't take long before they took a step back and they were a shadow of themselves the rest of the way.

When you've been sick for several days, your metabolism is not where it usually is once you feel better and get back to work. You feel good enough to work (play), but you're not at your most proficient self. You get through the day (game) feeling beat and then relieved.

Louisville once again proved its mettle and won despite not being 100 percent. This team continues to amaze.

Hopefully everyone has their second wind come Saturday.

Just commented about UGA upsetting Florida in another thread; this UL staff and team demonstrated the mark of a mature, well-coached team by overcoming an uncharacteristic bad performance, and winning on the road in a hostile environment.

Very proud of this UL Team. CPK and the kids will not use the recent illness as an excuse, but those close to our program knew going in to Blacksburg that several players were struggling with their legs. Anyone who was bit by this recent epedemic, will attest to losing energy after the illness is over.

They were sick when the lost to ga tech?
No, that was GT being hot during a 21 to 3 stretch while the Cards were in a scoring drought. This Louisville team is not impervious to getting upset, especially on the road. That is their only loss in their past 17 games.

They were due and GT was more than capable of winning as they proved their next game at Clemson. VT is not as good as GT and they proved that last night, not able to beat an obvious fatigued Louisville team.
