Per UofL: 15 University of Louisville athletic teams posted a perfect 1000 score in the most recent single-year Academic Progress Rate (APR)
The 15 UofL sports — eight women’s and seven men’s — with a perfect 1000 APR score for the most recent 2013-14 figures consist of baseball, men’s and women's basketball, men's cross country, field hockey, men’s and women's golf, women’s lacrosse, women's rowing, softball, women’s soccer, men’s and women's tennis, men's indoor track and volleyball.
UofL’s men’s basketball, men's cross country, women’s golf and softball teams are among the top 10 percent in their respective sports in the latest multiyear APR, which measures academic eligibility, retention and graduation for student-athletes. All four sports have a perfect 1000 score for the four-year period from 2010-14 and received public recognition from the NCAA last week.
Eleven Cardinal sports teams are among the upper half of scores from across the nation within their respective sports for their multiyear APR and seven rank among the upper third nationally. All 23 UofL sports teams — including 10 men’s and 13 women’s sports — have a four-year APR score above 960, well above the minimum of 930 when penalties are assessed.
