Jurich interview

If you think this is wrongful termination, then I don’t know what world you live in. Everywhere else, when you don’t do you what your boss tells you to do you get fired. He was told to fire Pitino and would not do it. And even if that were not all of it, the whole deal with the Yum Center Is a deal where when all is said and done I’ll be surprised if someone is not in jail over it.
That’s what court is going to determine genius. Jurich had a contract - if you want to fire him - so be it, but they don’t have the case to make that it is for cause.

Both Jurich and postel agree that postel never asked Jurich to fire pitino - so you’re incorrect on that. Other items listed, are at odds with what postel said on record just a few months ago. So he’ll either stick with that or, prove himself a liar even further.

Your asinine comment about the yum center shows your bias and, your yut colors. In America, people don’t go to jail because they’re better negotiators than the people across the table.

Did you know Jurich's wife was maid of honor in the Kragthorpe wedding? And Mrs. Jurich and Kragthorpe were sorority sisters? Tom hired a buddy in Steve Kragthorpe, who was currently not well employed.
Unless I misunderstood you - kragthorpe was the HC if Tulsa when Jurich (unfortunately) hired him.

I think the majority will all agree Jurich was handled poorly. I think we all agree some on the board weren't truly looking out for the best interest of the University. Who knows the end game. The reality is the fans/players/coaches built the facilities, and program. Jurich sold people on the the City of Louisville and the fanbase.

The key to all of this is continuing to put a good product on the all the fields and keeping football and basketball relevant nationally. I don't see that changing even when the bumps occurs.

I sure hope you're right about that. I'm not as confident. I feel like we're about to become Cincinnati.

No war of words wilkie - we’re good. It’s ok to disagree - not sure that it has anything to do with something so fundamental as right and wrong. Of course Jurich isn’t/wasn’t perfect but on balance he was far and away UofL’s best AD - IMO - and we are getting ready to find out how replaceable he is.

I’m just really bothered (obviously) about a process that I feel strongly was set in motion months ago by people who have an agenda that I disagree with.

I agree, we do not want to be like those in D.C. and learn to peaceable listen to others opinions. When we listen, we learn new facts and how to be better human beings. So we are good buddy.

It's laughable to think this was an isolated incident. There was a history and pattern of conduct then the "I didn't know" bs. I don't believe Jurich deserved to be fired but I also do NOT believe him when he says he would have fired CRP. Too many opportunities without even a reprimand. No way. I told friends of mine years ago CRP thought he was untouchable because Tom had allowed a culture of enablement to foster and CRP would burn the house of cards down.

I hope so too, but I’m not sure we’re there yet.
