I was worried about this game because Kentucky got that moral victory yesterday and all we got was a victory. The announcers and the Kentucky faithful sure thought that was going to play into the outcome of today's game.

The balk, which was Mckays first this year and possibly his career, was created by the plate umpire allowing the UK batters to take forever to get into the batters box to hit and then step out and call time. Umpire thought McKay had already come set and flinched. It was a bogus call.

I suspiciously wonder if these umpires were told they wanted a game 3 for TV purposes. The plate umpire all of a sudden changes the strike zone on McKay, tries to rattle him by calling a balk, the play at first in the 9th inning was a joke.

From watching the replay, with his. Foot on the rubber, McKay flinched and was called for the balk. Luckily, there was no price paid.

The same plate umpire grabbed Drew Ellis and told him to stop pumping up the crowd after his second HR. Who does that? Happy for the Cards, and can't wait to play A & M in Omaha. Go Cards!!!!
