Louisville field hockey team fell 5-0 to No. 6 Penn State in the first round of the NCAA tournament Friday afternoon at Michigan.
Louisville finishes the season 12-8 overall, after making q fourth straight and 11th overall NCAA appearance.
Penn State had a 19-8 advantage in shots and a 12-7 advantage in shots on goal. The Nittany Lions had 10 penalty corners to Louisville’s four. Sasha Elliott registered seven saves with Penn State’s Brie Barraco and Lauren Delgado combining for seven stops.
