Not exactly the way to end the regular season. Louisville Field Hockey got schooled at a Trager Friday by sub .500 Boston College 4-1.
Juatine Sowry's Stick Girls (12-6, 1-5 ACC) did get an early lead with Aimee Plumb's goal in the sixth minute of the game, but Boston College responded with four unanswered goals. A hat trick from BC's Margo Carlin.
Overall, the Cards held a 14-8 advantage in shots and an 8-1 edge in penalty corners, while the teams were even with seven shots on goal apiece. BC goalkeeper Emily Gillespie had six saves while Sasha Collins collected three stops for Louisville.
Louisville finishes sixth in the conference regular season standings. They'll face the third place finisher, who could be Syracuse, Virginia or Boston College -- all at 3-3 in regular season play -- in the quarterfinals of the tournament on Tuesday, November 1st at Duke and on the ACC Network.....time TBA.
