This kid is the real deal. Showed some great leadership out there at the end of the game. Yes, he makes freshman mistakes at times but when he is on he is a difference maker. And this is a freshman that got a late start to the season too.

The pg spot is bright with DJ leading the way.

His ability to get to the rim on his own and score, get fouled, or pass is something this team was lacking. He showed no fear down the stretch. And he is our best passer. Yes, he still looks green at times, but he's a big part of this team's overall makeup. It feels like the guys, and coaches, are finding their roles. If everyone contributes what they're best at..... we're pretty good

He has an outside shot of being drafted this year.

All it takes is one scout and or agent to get in his ear

Jalen Terry, that could be you next year but you were scurred. Enjoy the Pacific NW.

He could, and you're right. The right (or wrong) person gets in his ear, he may go pro. That would suck.

Johnson was great at driving the lane tonight and that is what hurt Virginia. In the 1st half that was how we built the big lead, we would drive the lane which would spread the floor. Johnson started doing it consistently the last 5 minutes of the game.

He will test the waters and you never know at that point. It just takes 1 to fall in love with him.

Disagree. Johnson would have to be the MOP of the Final Four to get in this year’s draft.

It seems like with DJ’s skill set he should be on the court all the time and next year he will be. Right now, however, it seems like CCM uses DJ as the team’s turbo charger. The team shifts into another gear when he comes in because he can cause havoc in the lane as well as get others involved in the offense. You don’t usually use your turbo charger all the time, especially when your vehicle usually has plenty of power without it. But...when you need a turbo charger (game changer) it’s great to know you have one at your disposal.

And, as a side benefit, no need to worry about foul issues with the starting guards either. Plenty of depth at that position this year. Kimble is a god send for this team....a really good addition to the team and he is getting better and better with each passing game. Me likey him.

David makes Ryan so much more dangerous, and Vice versa. This is why Mack loves to play these guys together. David's length, strength & jumping ability make his dribble drive to the rim nearly impossible to stop by just one defender. Coupled with Ryan's dangerous ability to hit the 3, help defense coming from Ryan's man isn't coming. So knowing you can't leave Nwora either, we become very effective playing off that.
