I found who the announcer was who knew so much about Louisville. It is Mike Monaco who played at Notre Dame he is 32 years old and at one time called games at Louisville.
YUGE win for the program. They’ll have a full head of steam for the next game.
Dan, I know wat you mean, 👍 but many years ago when I was learning the ropes in Vegas, an old gambler taught me to remember one thing.
He said, “Once they hand that money to you, it’s YOUR money. So play like it, and don’t be stupid and give it all back. When you can, always leave with some of their money”.
Hopefully we loosen up now and play to our potential and take some more of the out.

Tuesday will be 3 days rest for Forbes. If it's Oregon State, I say hold him for a possible fourth game. If it's C. Carolina and Forbes can go, use him Tuesday.
It's better if the Beavers don't see Forbes a second time so soon.
I think Bevin can go Tuesday. He didn't throw many pitches today.
Eberle wasn’t sharp but he battled. After that our pitching was outstanding like it’s been all postseason.

He pitched 4 innings, cant see him coming back to start on a day and half rest.. May start Cutts and get what you can, then West and Schwitzer.. I don't think we see Forbes, Biven, or Eberle unless it's just to get a batter in a certain situation.. But who knows..
Bevin threw 53 pitches today and he's been a relief pitcher most of his time here. He could definitely start Tuesday although he would be limited to 4 or 5 innings.
At the same time someone else may get the nod as it will be a bullpen effort Tueday.

I think it’s maybe Cutts and some of the guys out of the pen who we haven’t seen much of. If we can get the next one, maybe the guys we saw today or start over with Forbes.
It was grim all game long. Those dudes kept at it. The fight those guys have is real. Grit, I think they call it. Impressive as hell.

So proud of UL Baseball and particularly happy for CDM. Neighbors has been clutch in previous situations, but his 4 hits yesterday is a testament to his rather unsung value to this team beyond his defensive contribution. Despite some continued base-running mistakes, our aggressiveness forced Arizona into making costly errors.
Look I'm not the grammar police but cmon if you're going to be a real U of L baseball fan, please learn to spell his name right. Its not that hard.

I would be surprised if it wasn’t Cutts. At this point you have to negotiate how to come out of the bracket. They need Forbes fresh against Coastal.
It doesn’t matter if you win tomorrow if you have to burn Forbes. Have to figure out a way to win tomorrow with the staff. Then they have a good chance of getting Coastal with Forbes..
I can recall pining for this guy to be the every day guy since he emerged a bit platooning with Hott. Despite his Pyle-esque baserunning issues that got him benched for a minute, his versatility and ability to put the ball in play has made it hard for Mac to leave him on the bench. I'm happy to see this guy really get it going and be a legitimate threat offensively.
Team captain playing like one yesterday and leading his mates to victory. Speaking of team captains leading, kudos to Rose on 2 huge defensive plays, one a catch and the other a peg to nail the runner at 3rd,for his own play sparking ever important momentum shifts.
Who's the next guy to make that play to arouse the fire within his teammates?
Do we know if Michael is available to pitch at any point? That would be a pleasant surprise if we could get something from him.
Not sure haven’t seen many pitchers since ACC tournament. They really tightened up the rotation to 8 guys. They are going to have to go into the staff at some point if they win again.

I'm thinking the worst about Michael without anything being said. Of course, I heard it mentioned for the first time by a TV announcer that Detmers actually had TJ surgery at some point. He's wearing some kind of brace in the dugout. Never a peep by the staff.

Can you imagine the crap that would have come down if that was to preserve his perfect game?
Cutts or Hartman would be my guess. Personally, I go with Cutts and hope he can make it 4-5 innings.
