Cards WSOC shuts out Syracuse 3-0

Louisville scored three goals in a 10-minute stretch early in the second half to open the 2020 home schedule at Lynn Stadium yesterday afternoon vs. Syracuse.

Jessica De Filippo started the UofL scoring just three minutes into second half play and two goals followed from Louisville Manual high school star Emina Ekic for the Cards in that stretch.

Gabby Kouzelos got her second shutout of the season with seven saves. Louisville out-shot the Orange 25-11 to go to 2-1 on the season.

The Cards return to Trager on Sunday for a noon match against Boston College. The Eagles (0-1) lost last night to Notre Dame 2-0.
