As the WNBA reaches their halfway point of the season, let's catch up with how the four UofL WBB participants in the league are doing.

Angel McCoughtry is averaging 15.4 points per game and 4.7 rebounds. McCoughtry plays 20.7 minutes a night. She a starter for the Las Vegas Aces, they are in second place in the league with a 8-2 record. They take to the "wubble" tonight (Tuesday) to face the 7-4 Chicago Sky at 9 p.m. ET. It's listed as a ESPN2 game.

Myisha Hines-Allen is averaging 14.2 points per game and 8.0 rebounds. She's seeing 28.6 minutes a night and is a starter for Washington. Her team, the Washington Mystics, are 3-7 on the season, Washington plays again on Wednesday night when they'll face the 2-9 Atlanta Dream. It's listed as a 7 p.m. ET game and on the CBS Sports Network (CBSSN).

Jazmine Jones is averaging 9.8 points per game and 3.0 rebounds. Jaz averages 19.0 minutes a game and is used primarily as the back up point guard for the New York Liberty. It'll be a late one tonight (Tuesday) for the 1-9 Liberty, as they face league-leading Seattle (10-1) at 10 p.m. ET. Fox Sports GO is listed as the viewing option.

Kylee Shook averages 4.8 points per game and 3.0 rebounds for the New York Liberty. Shook is seeing time as a back up post player for the New York squad and sees 15.3 minutes a contest.

Here's hoping Angel keeps bathing in the fountain of youth and the Aces stay hot. I'd love to see Washington have a strong second half of the season and Myisha continue to do well for them. For Jaz and Kylee, the experience they are gaining now is so valuable and we get to see the occasional "Kylee" swat of a shot and those incredible Jaz moves on the court that we fell in love with here at Louisville. Obviously, the Liberty are "up against it" without Durr and Ionescu, but they continue to learn Walt Hopkins style of basketball and fight hard each time they take the court.

It has been fun watching those 4 play. Angel is amazing and I hope she has the opportunity to play for another gold medal. It surprises me that the Mystics, who started like a Triple Crown winner, have lost so many in a row.

Yes the Liberty is depleted but both Jaz and Kylee gaining valuable experience. Both are earning their place on the roster as well as bonus points for teams needing to fill holes in future years.

Next year Asia returns and Dana will be playing in the WNBA. Sure am surprised that Sam Fuehring never made a roster.

As far as I know Sam is playing in Germany. I do wish she was over here playing in the WNBA.

As far as I know Sam is playing in Germany. I do wish she was over here playing in the WNBA.

Sam signed with Giroline Panthers Osnabruck SC in the Germany DBBL. She was leading the league in scoring with 19.7 ppg before the league was suspended on March 7th due to the Covid-19 outbreak. Sam, last I heard, is back in the USA and awaiting her chance to go back over to Europe.

Hines-Allen big night tonight in a victory over Atlanta. 23 points and 4 boards.

What may have been most impressive was the three-three pointers. I can remember her at Louisville in a post game interview proudly remarking on one three pointer made. I (forget) the opponent and whoever was on the podium telling the media that Myisha was actually was point guard trapped in a power forward's body.

So What do all of you think? My feelings are that Jaz has a decent chance of sticking it out in the WNBA. She definitely has the quickness and athletic ability and seems to have developed her offense so that she makes the pull-up jumper and can hit from behind the arc. She has to cut down on the mental errors, however, or that will be fatal for her chances. I am not as certain about Kylee. She just does not move quickly on either offense or defense. Her positioning is not good as she is slow to move toward the ball beneath the basket and her hands appear to be soft. i.e., she does not catch and hold onto the ball very well. Those are just my thoughts, nothing more. I hope I am wrong about Kylee.

So far Myisha is doing very well at both ends of the court and making the best of the absence of Tina Charles and Elena Delle Donne. Her three-point shooting has amazed me. Her rebounding is excellent considering her height. Angel is back being just Angel again.

Hardly miss a game.

I'd like to see MHA work a little more on her rebounding. She's undersized down low, but she's got the body to do some damage if she uses it right.

(No one with an evil mind take that last sentence out of context...LOL)
