Been saying this as early as early as a week ago. All Teams with a Bye Beaten, by lower ranked Teams. Only way to make this truly fair is also to make all Teams play in a Conference, that has a Championship game. And I would suggest if the Format noted below.
1. All Big Four League Champions, and their Runner Up Teams get Auto Bids. That gives you 8 Teams.
2. Group of Five should be awarded Two Conference Champion bids. That gives you 2 more Teams.
3. That gives you 10 Auto Bids. Those 10 Auto Bids should be seeded 1 thru 10.
4. 6 additional at large bids from Teams of any League. Those 6 Teams have to be seeded 11 thru 16.
5. Once all Teams are seeded. Do the matchups like any other Tourney. # 1 vs # 16, #2 vs # 15, etc.
6. Playoff should start immediately after Conference Championship week. Bowl System used for the 15 Games
In This Format This is what you have. Also Transfer Portal eliminated after unit Season's End. Transfer Portal only open 4- 6 weeks after Spring Semester are completed. Closed by on or around July 1st. This will be how to fix College Football.
1. Conference Championship Week would have been W/E 12/7/24
2. First Round Playoff Games W/E 12/14/24
3. Second Round Games W/E 12/21/24
4. Semi Final Round Games 12/3/241 thru 1/2/25
5 Championship Game on 1/10-11/25
