VIDEO: Traore Post Game Interview

I have been critical of Traore in private about how the offense has looked stagnant with him on the floor because of his lack of shooting. I feel that if you put him in at the four spot and just have him bang, rim run, and just hustle, he is exactly what this team needs with the loss of Pryor. I love his energy and it shows he is working on his shot.

I noticed a certain chemistry he has with Chucky. Those cuts and subsequent dishes by Chucky knowing he was cutting weren't random, but planned and practiced.

Would love to see Hadley and Waterman get on that same page with Chucky for those easy baskets. It really will open up the offense for better catch-and-shoot looks for Smith,Edwards and other 3 point shooters.

It's the next step for this offense as I see Siva's presence all over Chucky's game.

Traore, although with just brief glimpses to see, reminds me of Kenny 'Sky" Walker from 80's uk teams. hops, speed and quickness. terror to defend. all energy all the time.

The indication of a great coach in my mind is defined by how much progress a team makes over the course of a season, and how they can overcome adversity. I believe that both Kelsey (MBB) and Walz (WBB) are demonstrating qualification as great.

I expect this UL MBB Team will surprise most prognosticators by year end, and upset some favorites in the NCAA tournament. The WBB roster is still a work in progress, as Walz must continue getting the veterans to blend in with these freshmen. In both cases (Men & Women) the rotations are crucial, as we are witnessing some who have struggled early, are just beginning to find more comfort on the floor.
