Bevin reportedly fires back at Jeff Walz in interview...

Went to school with Meiners. Class clown, barely got passing grades. The guy's gotten a lot further than I would have predicted, regardless how he got there. (We can only imagine...)

I’ve always held out hope that our Govenor, ANY governor, would have important things to be concerned about, but Mr. Bevin apparently doesn’t. In fact, I believe a more important position for Mr. Bevin to speak to would be the importance of UofL’s academic and research to the Commonwealth of Kentucky. But noooooo, he decides to have a pissy fit over a tweet about UofL women’s basketball vs uahkay men’s basketball and their importance. Plus wouldn’t you think that one Terry Meiners would understand all of this also?

GO CARDS - BEAT EVERYBODY!!! God Bless America!!!

I love me some Jeff big time, but I love me some Bevin also. It's no big deal and sure won't change my vote. Bitch all you want but the party of Nancy Pelsoi, Chuck Schumer, Al (Reparations) Sharpton and that Cortez whacko is DEAD in this state.

Ah, you’re one of those. Doesn’t matter how stupid, vulgar, or idiotic a party leader is, or what he says or does, you’re still punching that party ticket. Very open minded.

Can't lie - no idea what the back and forth with Bevin and coach has been, how much time has been going into it.

I'd think Bevin has more important things to do but maybe he doesn't.

Funny. There’s a guy in Charlotte named John Boy Isley. He’s the DJ for John Boy and Billy who are radio legends in the southeast and other places. He often talks about getting by in high school and was in trouble years back with cocaine. He lives in one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in Charlotte and is a cult legend.

What you're not comparing is his academics, was he a class clown also. I don't think there is a comparison between the two. Terry Meiners doesn't live in one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in Louisville and he is local he is not a legend in the Southeast or anywhere.

On a cruise this past Feb. in the Caribbean sporting my U of L gear. A couple at a table next to me asked if I was from KY. When I said yes she asked "what's wrong with your Governor?" (she wasn't from KY) Pretty sad when educated people from other states realize what a jackass we have, supposedly, running the commonwealth. Unfortunately most of our fellow citizens are incapable of making wise political decisions. They are totally influenced based on what college team they support.

TM is a Louisville celebrity whether you want to admit or not. I don’t see you on local TV shows.

You saw his grades?
Once upon a time, before the age of privacy and students' rights (there were none), we all knew what kind of student our classmates were. In elementary school, teachers placed the A students next to the wall, then the B, etc. They put the low hanging fruit next to the windows where they could stare out or do whatever they wanted. At least that was the way it was at my school.

I said he is not a regional celebrity and you're right he is a local celebrity. Unfortunately for him he is a celebrity many Louisvillians don't like.
Think about guys like Charles Barkley and Bill Walton. They may not be as dumb as they sound but they must be great actors..

I'm going back more than forty years, but my high school academic class was tiered into about ten levels, each of the size of one classroom of 30 or so students. The first level was the best 10% of the students in that academic class, and on down the line.

It was possible for students to move between levels from year to year, but not many did IIRC.

One thing in defense of the students I went to school with is that we were in St. X. So the overall caliber of students was pretty good. I assume that was somewhat true even of the students in the "lower" classes.

But yeah, that was the good old days of insensitivity and lawlessness... :D
