Cards lose to Va and beat Miami and drop 4 spots
Va loses to VaTech and drops just 2 Am i missing something here?
Uk beats a bad Alabama offensive team and rises 2
Obvious basis their.

There is no rhyme or reason to it the only thing I can think is they are trying to over rate some teams for upcoming TV games.

#4 in RPI, the poll that matters...

Amen brother. Plus the polls at the end of the regular season prior to selection Sunday are the only ones that count. We still have work to do and those games will have more to do with our seeding than the polls as published at this point.

GO CARDS - BEAT EVERYBODY!!! God Bless America!!!

We'll be a 1 seed. This team is knocking the rust off after all the injuries, suspensions, etc. I think we'll lose one more regular season game (no idea which one - let's just hope it's not a bad loss) and we win the ACCT.

The problem is in our losses to UVA we looked totally inept.

Louisville is the highest ranked 5 loss team. I don't understand your beef with the poll.

The RPI has Louisville ranked one spot ahead of the Zags. That's five losses vs. zero losses. It matters who you lose to (and beat), and the RPI accounts for that. AP does not, or not enough.

"Elite program", my a$$...

Well, Louisville has lost twice to Virginia. So is it fair that Louisville is ranked higher than Virginia?

So it does matter beating UofK and IU after all. You just made the argument against your own argument. Had we lost to UofK and IU and beat UVA and FSU instead, we likely wouldn't be ranked as high in the RPI as we are.

Subjective but interesting seeing how you wouldn't stop arguing about this very issue.

Not at all contradictory... Had we beaten UVA and ND and lost to LPT, our RPI ranking may be higher.

And "whom we beat" is largely dependent on competing in the ACC. I've said on multiple occasions that our OOC schedule anymore is comprised of meaningless exhibitions. The conference is so strong, and 68 teams are invited to the tourney.

Why play an exhibition game that disproportionately costs you? But I think we need to move back to the other thread.

Sweet transitive property argument. Using this asinine logic, since Florida annihilated your team, they should be ranked higher than Kentucky, right? :D

I was just using Zipp's logic on the message I quoted. But actually, before Florida lost Egbunu for the rest of the season, I would've ranked Florida higher than Kentucky.
