🏀 NCAA TOURNAMENT ROUND OF 64- (8) LOUISVILLE vs. (9) CREIGHTON- 12:15PM CBS

Tough. Cards looked like they were making big headway...missed 3, tech. Could be the start of the final nail. Creighton has had an answer for every Card move.

I didn’t think we were going to come back every time we made a run Creighton had an answer. I understand CPK’s frustration especially with that one ref.

Auburn will have little problem beating Creighton because they have a front court. Louisville has gotten zero from the center and power forward position.

Much like his counterpart with the Louisville women's team, Kelsey has to get multiple talented front court players if he's going to beat the better teams.

IF Pryor had not gotten hurt - that would make a huge difference. Considering he has Pryor returning (hopefully), a 7fter coming off a RS year and a 6’11” FR I’d say the front court is in good shape. Scott must get stronger and work on a short jumper over the Summer.

Maybe because Scott gave us nothing. He isn’t a threat unless he is catching lobs. I can’t imagine he hit much more than 20 field goals the entire year that weren’t dunks. If he can’t improve his offense I’m not sure what he offers. He has to spend all summer working on some post moves.

Scott has to spend then entire summer with a shooting coach inside and outside. He can’t be that 1 dimensional on offense. If not he will be 3rd guy coming off bench. I doubt he will transfer because he won’t have much value in other systems.

Overall, great season that wasn’t rewarded which resulted in a really bad matchup against another team that was under seeded. They were limited so this day was coming.

Scott is a great kids and a wonderful team player, but his tournament contribution was negligible and frankly made it impossible to balance the inside Creighton game. Not blaming him or others, just stating the obvious.

Only from the post game comments did we learn what I had suspected, specifically that a most courageous Reyne Smith was no where close to 100% coming into this contest. I have great respect for that effort, but the medical staff should have advised against his effort to play, as he most know that a high ankle sprain takes months, not weeks to completely heal for an athlete who has to move literally.

Koz, I believe Reyne has exhausted his college eligibility, as I am rather certain the announcers were mistaken in suggesting he has another year. With that said, nothing is certain in college sports, so maybe there is some exception that applies to him that no one shared with us.
