But everything we did in the Bahamas is literally wiped out because Pryor played. The clock started over with the Ole Miss game....

Not sure its fair but a bad loss stays with you for a while to see if its an anomoly or not, a win is only as good as the next time you lose.

What's your knock on Weigman? He was a highly rated 5 star QB. Had some injuries but so did Slough.

Reiger was a surprise to me and I wonder if it isn't just as simple as he has his degree, the rehab and injury situation over the last two years has him thinking he should transfer closer to home. He'll always be the Dude who ran over Joe Alt for a sack against Notre Dame and you can't take that memory away for any of us. Calloway is similar in that he looked like he was going to contribute and got that ugly knee wrenched against Jacksonville State.

Perry I expected because he went through the Senior Day ceremonies; he gave us alot and he'll be missed. He was often put in really tough spots one-on-one with a slot receiver like Xavier Restrepo or a RB on a deep wheel route.

What's troubling? The fact that we have only 8 scholarship players? Is it really surprising that this team now isn't as good as they were in the Bahamas?

What exactly could Kelsey do when facing a successful coach like Beard. How could he outcouch him?

I hope everyone does me the favor of not turning this into a UK thread, but I'll put a bow on that by saying...the fact is they had Auburn coming into Lexington playing bad football back three years, Vanderbilt who while improved still finished sub.-500 and South Carolina when they came to Lexington had just come off a really ugly come from behind win at home against Old Dominion. Florida had their biggest win of the year over a P4 team and that's with the privilege of having Florida State on the schedule. If anyone could gripe about SEC scheduling it was Vanderbilt who got the two weakest teams on their schedule on the road but the rest was a ranked juggernaut.

You don't get to hide behind your Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Texas trips and be non-competitive at home against the rest of your schedule ironically against everybody else but Georgia? SEC expansion and going Division less doesn't have anything to do with that. UK has, does and always will end up sub.500 in the SEC because they don't beat the teams they should beat.

A miss opportunity is my best way to describe.

Kentucky is a bad spot. This was their best roster talent wise according to everyone. NIL wasn’t their issue they got who they wanted.

Once the SEC expanded and eliminated divisions they were doomed. Their schedule isn’t manageable. Their schedule next year is full of teams on the rise. It is hard to imagine them threading that needle.

I think the QB market will be wild. It is one position that teams have to get right and it is a hard one for some coaches to properly evaluate.

Some of these are coached decisions too. The WR leaving is always interesting. Calloway-Thompson never could get healthy. It is amazing in this offense they are always thin. Not sure what they will even put on the field for bowl game.

Stein is going to be a head coach sooner than later.

The honeymoon is over but losing impact players at this level matters. I am not sure how they piece this back together. The injuries have turn a good roster into a bad roster. The parts no longer fit. He will be a coaching genius if he pieces this back together.

They will have to complete change to a half court team. They can’t play fast with this roster. They are going to have to screen and create mismatches with Hadley and Edwards. They just have to muddy up the game.

The wrong people got hurt. This wasn’t a loaded roster. This was a good roster that if they played hard and hit shots could be good. With the injuries the roster doesn’t make sense.

I really don’t know what they can do other than learn how to play a zone. There is zero chance Edwards can guard ACC-SEC level guards. They will get downhill when even they want. Even when the other guy gets back they have the same problem. Pryor did things on pick and rolls the other bigs can’t do and while not great he was a nuisance at the rim.

On offense what do you do when all the guys who have historically shot well can’t shoot? They aren’t great with their shot selection but 50-60 percent of the 1st half looks were clean. They have zero shot of winning if they shoot low 30’s from three.

I could be wrong but this another 10-12 win season but hard to say with the current state of ACC.

The redshirting is proving to be a mistake but they did have a solid 10-11 man rotation.
