QB is unlike any other position because only one plays at a time, and you don't sub out like a RB. The vast majority of guys are backup QB's. You make an excellent point, why transfer if you are going down a level or be a backup. Clarkson has a chance to show what he has in the Bowl Game.I think the bowl game is a big deal for him. Hopefully he gets to play and get some tape. If he stays at Louisville or transfer he is a back up unless he goes down to a lower level. Why learn a new system if you aren’t going to see the field at the other school. That will be the case for a lot of these QB’s that are in the portal. The starting QB at Stanford is probably a backup at Auburn. The portal is full of back up QB’s.
