VIDEO: Traore Post Game Interview

The indication of a great coach in my mind is defined by how much progress a team makes over the course of a season, and how they can overcome adversity. I believe that both Kelsey (MBB) and Walz (WBB) are demonstrating qualification as great.

I expect this UL MBB Team will surprise most prognosticators by year end, and upset some favorites in the NCAA tournament. The WBB roster is still a work in progress, as Walz must continue getting the veterans to blend in with these freshmen. In both cases (Men & Women) the rotations are crucial, as we are witnessing some who have struggled early, are just beginning to find more comfort on the floor.

VIDEO: Traore Post Game Interview

I have been critical of Traore in private about how the offense has looked stagnant with him on the floor because of his lack of shooting. I feel that if you put him in at the four spot and just have him bang, rim run, and just hustle, he is exactly what this team needs with the loss of Pryor. I love his energy and it shows he is working on his shot.
I noticed a certain chemistry he has with Chucky. Those cuts and subsequent dishes by Chucky knowing he was cutting weren't random, but planned and practiced.

Would love to see Hadley and Waterman get on that same page with Chucky for those easy baskets. It really will open up the offense for better catch-and-shoot looks for Smith,Edwards and other 3 point shooters.

It's the next step for this offense as I see Siva's presence all over Chucky's game.

Your Grade For This Football Season?

I want to grade season as an A-, but early season poor decisions put outcome in a "cast". Having Riley return points and kickoffs was fools gold. The ankle injury he incurred severely restricted his abilities, and hurt his grades by NFL scouts. He never recovered from it. The other questionable decision was Ron English. It got to the point(again) that Jeff had to get more involved. He did so the year prior. English is easy to scout and any changes he makes are well known.

“With the arrival of the winter storm, there are extensive cancellations for passenger flights at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) today, Sunday, January 5 through early morning on Monday, January 6. Anyone scheduled to travel now through Tuesday, January 7 should closely monitor their flight status via their airline’s website or mobile app. Lingering impacts to air travel are likely in the coming days as the storm pushes to the East.”
The ability of Clemson to make it to town was my primary thought. I guess flights will open back up on Tuesday.
