There is no doubt that working people and working middle class people got left behind by bad and uneven trade agreements with Mexico and unfair trade with China, who owns some of and subsidizes their industry. NAFTA blew out of a lot of jobs and illegal immigration have depressed wages and led to more welfare, cri and drugs. No wonder folks voted for Trump.

Small part of the problem. Part of it, yes. Blue collar work was never sustainable long term in a global economy. The private sector will ALWAYS find ways to do grunt work in the cheapest way possible.

This is kind of funny to me but 94 employees at UC Berkley have filed a lawsuit against school president Janet Napalitano. It seems this well known democrat has fired 94 school employees so that she can give their jobs to Indians ( the ones from India).
She is doing it because the Indians will do the same work for half the price.
Another case showing where the Democrats don't give a crap about the middle class. It seems the 94 employees might have a good case because of a UC Berkley regulations. It is against UC Berkley rules to eliminate jobs from a diverse group to give jobs to a non diverse group.

Obviously this situation means all Democrats don't care about the middle class. I probably cannot even find one republican that has done something similar so that I can then claim all republicans don't care either.

You hit the nail on the head. Democrats don't care about the middle class or the working class. Globalism that includes bad trade agreements have decimated these folks. Open borders haven't helped either. The door only swings one way. Try walking into an unprotected border into Mexico and see what shape you come back in and likely not at all. You're better off to go to Marco Island.

You hit the nail on the head.
Turn your sarcasm meter up.
Democrats don't care about the middle class or the working class.
Lol,Right now Republican Governor Scott Walker from Wisconsin is advising Republicans in Washington on national Right to Work legislation designed to drive down wages for blue collar manufacturing jobs and bust unions. This will help the middle class immensely.

We'll all just work 2 jobs to stay in the middle class created by collective bargaining in good faith.

Scott Walker isn't driving wages down as a matter of fact his policies have improved wages for workers in Wisconsin. You can use all the sarcasm you want but it is the Democrats who are killing the middle class not the Republicans.

There are extremist Christians that use the Bible as justification to oppress women. There was a whole region that used the Bible to justify slavery. Be careful when you paint in broad strokes cause the picture probably ain't gonna be pretty.
"Terrorize and behead those who believe in scriptures other than the Qu'ran." Koran: 8:12.

Latest from Trump's top advisor:

Kellyanne Conway: "The federal judge in Seattle who struck down the Muslim ban will have a lot to answer for the next time there's a fictitious massacre. Imaginary blood will be on his hands."

I support Trump's policies generally but this post was hilarious. Sometimes, when in the public eye, you really need to think before you speak.

Outside the public eye too. Some just can not control that primal urge to speak before thinking it through.

Heavy manufacturing is a major source of pollution. It requires a lot of power. In the 70's our lands were a mess. Now, China's people have to wear masks because of the deadly smog.

I'd rather he focus on shrinking govt /taxes and rebuilding our infrastructure. (real issues) Yet, that seems to be taking a backseat to all this immigration/racial/gender nonsense.
You can't rebuild the infrastructure with a shrinking government and less taxes where is the money going to come from if you don't want to chip in but instead want your taxes cut? China has trains that go 300 mph but they wouldn't approve high speed rail between Orlando and Tampa we live in a 3rd world country be happy with your Amtrak they want to kill that too.

Why not? I'm tired seeing our tax money wasted. I'm tired of hearing how corporations and the super rich go out of their way to avoid paying taxes.

I agree but until people quit voting against their best interests and elect people who are going to make them pay their share I.E Bernie Sanders or someone like him who has balls, we are screwed the Republican Party is owned by big business and the 1% when I pay more taxes than General Electric that means to me we have lost our country this place is no more than a oligarchy some day sooner rather than later there will be violent revolution when everyone decides they have been lied to.

I like that Trump isn't a lifelong politician. I like that he wants to run the country like a corporation. If they can cut jobs to increase shareholder returns, why can't the American people do the same with our tax money?

Well the truth is the wealthy pay most of the tax revenue but by comparison we pay a much larger percentage of our income as for Donald I don't like him at all to me he is a schill for the rich and Russia notice how he appoints people to run departments that they want to destroy the other day he undid regulations to allow more mercury to be released in rivers and streams I like my water without mercury he will allow the pollution you were talking about and more I would think a lot of his supporters will be fed up with him but I think he will be impeached much sooner.

Depends on what you call wealthy. I know wealthy people pay almost 50% when everything is said and done. Super rich have huge losses they can deduct. Wealthy people don't. That's the difference.

Bernie Sanders is an odd old kook that represents the last vestiges of the 1960s hippie drug counter culture. His ideas were so bad that he was soundly defeated, as no one wants a lethargic socialist nation. He doesn't understand the effect of taxation on the economy. Corporations incorporate the cost of taxes into the price of their product or service. Taxing them less results into a better price for consumers. When Hillary started talking silly like Bernie, Trump got traction and won because people want jobs and a good economy, not taxes on employers.

General Electric got all their tax breaks from a democrat named Barack Obama they were also given interest free money from Obama. General Electric went through one of their largest expansions because of Obama. The bad thing about it was their expansions were all overseas at the request of the Obama administration. Obama did the same thing with GMC in regards to having American taxpayers ( the middle class ) pay for the GMC bailout. GMC was restructured by the Obama administration they shut down Pontiac and Saturn putting thousands of Americans out of work and built manufacturing plants in China and Mexico.

We lost jobs in the United States because of the democrats and at the same time GMC will never pay back all the money they owe the U.S. Taxpayer. They are said to owe more than 26 billion dollars that they are not even attempting to pay back. But hey Mexico and China came ahead on the deal.

I assume that you mean GM and not GMC. As any company in the position they were in would do, GM shut down Pontiac and Saturn because they were brands that were no longer desired by the American public - simply a case of Econ 101 / free market economy stuff that conservatives are so fond of touting.

As for your GE claim - please link a reputable source that shows the previous administration requested that they ship jobs overseas.

False.

You don't understand the effect of taxation on the economy. Taxing corporations less has never resulted in lower prices for consumers, only higher share prices for stockholders (see Big Oil). Pricing is affected by two of the simplest factors there have ever been - supply and demand.

Corporations do not have consumers best interests in mind - they never have, specifically because that's not how they are designed or structured. They succeed or fail largely based upon their performance for their shareholders. Where taxation comes into play for corporations is in R&D and investment / expansion. More taxation = corporations holding onto their money / cutting other costs (i.e. - labor & materials).

Clinton didn't lose because she echoed some of Sanders talking points. She lost because she (like all of the other republicans primary candidates) failed to understand the political climate. She overestimated her ability to turn out her base - relative to Obama's ability and, underestimated trump's ability to connect with those Americans who for whatever reason - felt scared, angry and disaffected. In short, she was a poor candidate.

Putin and Assange didn't help - lol.

Those Americans who put him over the top are the forgotten Americans across the rust belt. Clinton was so sure she was going to win those votes that she took them for granted. He had to win Ohio. He had to win Michigan. He had to win Wisconsin. Obviously he had to win Florida. The game changer for President Trump was Pennsylvania. Winning Pennsylvania put him in the White House. The forgotten Americans were heard. He listened. She didn't.

I'll certainly agree that he gave the appearance that he was listening while Clinton did not. Her taking those states for granted as wins is exactly what I was talking about her (and others' failure to understand the political climate) and, why she was a poor candidate.

Time will tell whether trump really was listening or, really cares about those people. I hope he was and, does but, it would be a radical departure from the way that he's conducted himself for 70 years.

He deserves the chance to prove himself. All Presidents deserve the chance once elected. I voted for him but I don't like him. I dislike him less than I dislike Hillary and that's how I chose who to vote for. I can't get past her lying to the family of the Benghazi victims, and I couldn't overlook her 'private' server that was meant to hide her pay for play scheme when she was Secretary of State. Trump doesn't have a political history other than being on the other side of the bribes. As a business man, he knew what palms to grease to get his way and one of the hands held out was Hillary's. He's a snake. She's worse.

The only thing Trump deserves is to be impeached. He is, to use our governor's recent catch phrase, an unmitigated disaster.

I don't often get involved in politics. The problem lies within this two party system. When either Reps or Democrats win the other party inherently wants the person elected to "fail" or admit that they were wrong. I think more than any other election we have had in the past, that this is true. A lot of people want Trump to fail. If that happens our country as we know it will be in a lot of serious trouble as it would if the roles were reversed. Get rid of the whole democratic/republican "titles" and stand on things that you believe in and vote on those things not if you're an elephant or a donkey.

That's exactly what I do. I have voted for who I feel is the better person for the job and I don't have a party affiliation. I have voted for Democrats. I have voted for Republicans, and I have voted for Independents.

I think Clinton should be in prison. I KNOW what she did regarding her private server is against the FEDERAL law because I have to take the same training she took regarding cyber security. I signed off on it just like she had to before getting a clearance. If I tried to do what she did, I would be in prison at best or inside Gitmo as a worst case scenario. She's a criminal who put our national security at risk to fill her own pockets in the name of her foundation.

President Trump might be a criminal too, but he hasn't been proven to be one yet as far as I know. If he ends up screwing this country like she did as our Secretary of State, then the country is going to be lost regardless. It was going to be lost with her continuing the former President's dream of global wealth distribution. I'm not rich. I work every stinking day because I have to. Not because I want to. All I want is to be able to pay my bills, eat every day, and not worry about where my next meal is going to come from. Everything else is just a number. All I want is to be left alone and to live out my life with the money I'VE earned. Nothing has been given to me and I don't want anyone to take it away from me either. Earn your own way or go away. Doesn't matter to me.

How so? He hasn't been in office long enough to know that unless you can't think for yourself and just regurgitate catch phrases and one liners you read and hear every day from the propaganda news outlets you enjoy listening to.

I don't recall any of the moral outrage when President Obama put a 6 month temporary ban on immigrants coming from Iraq? Maybe there was and I just missed it. The hypocrisy is off the charts insane if you really stop to think about it. The Democrats are still butt hurt over President Trump winning, and are acting like spoiled children by not even showing up for confirmation hearings. It's unprecedented.

All President Trump has done so far is take the shackles off law enforcement and ICE so they can do their jobs. He hasn't made up any new laws. He only reintroduced the SAME laws that they were being forced to ignore by the last administration . All I can say as a law abiding citizen is it's about damn time.

BPGhost there is way to much information on GE expansion internationally you can google it yourself. I don't have any problem with them or any company expanding internationally I do have a problem when they do it with interest free money from the taxpayers.

In regards to businesses getting tax breaks to generate business in our state or country I am in full support of that. If a company gets a $200,000.00 tax break to move here to create 30 well paying jobs we come well ahead and so does the tax collector. 30 jobs paying $45,00.00 per year $8,000.00 goes to taxes so you come ahead by giving the corporate tax break.

Then you take into consideration the money spent in the area creating more tax revenue and more growth. Then the growth creates more businesses and more jobs and more tax revenue.

He's been in long enough for me to know what he's about and what he stands for, the Constitution not being one of them. His advisors (Flynn and Conway) are breaking laws and ignoring regulations, not to mention making stuff up to suit their agenda. Trump whines like a spoiled brat on Twitter when things don't go his way. He's no respected statesman, and he's as far from presidential as a person can get. His own Supreme Court nominee has called him out. Furthermore, Spicer is a clueless, easily agitated clown. Trump's roll back of Dodd-Frank was to help his friends, even said exactly that upon the announcement of said roll back. His Education Cabinet pick, woefully unqualified to the point of exasperation, bought her way on board. And, Bannon, once charged for beating his wife, is Alt-Right, an extremist. A radical.

I don't know. Maybe I'm paying closer attention than you.

Regarding Obama's temporary Iraq ban, that was to fix a loop hole, as the two Al Qaeda sympathizers arrested in Bowling Green entered the country from Iraq erroneously. Fixing a problem and banning people from Muslim countries aren't exactly the same thing.

We are never going to agree, but there is one thing we'll both have to eventually accept. President Trump is in office. You disliking that fact isn't going to make it go away. So far he's done everything he said he would do if elected. I don't agree with everything he said he was going to do, but it is refreshing to see somebody inside the beltway actually DOING something besides play golf and blame others for their own failures.

I do have some questions though. Since you're paying closer attention. Did you pay closer attention during the Obama administration when he constantly shit on the constitution with his unlawful executive orders which were never challenged by the spineless establishment? I'm sure his executive order to catch and release illegal immigrants to sanctuary cities was just fine with you. Right? That was a non issue? Yes? Lets be perfectly clear here. We are a country of immigrants and everyone who enters LEGALLY is welcome with open arms. The words LEGAL and ILLEGAL have been missing from our federal laws for almost 2 decades now. Finally we have a COMMANDER in Chief who will uphold the law. Bout damn time.

I agree - he deserves a chance to prove himself and, I hope that he will be as successful as I consider that Obama was. As I've said - based upon his 70 year body of work - I'm not tremendously hopeful that he will end up benefitting anyone other than himself because it simply doesn't appear to be part of his DNA.
