I don’t think Vandy was ever in the running for a top 16. They were always seeded as a possible 2 in someone else’s bracket. I think they were .500 in the SEC this year.
Aside from Tennessee, and perhaps Stanford and Oregon State …… most of the other top 25 teams in college baseball are experiencing what we have witnessed with UL this season.
With that said, I may be mistaken, but UL might be one of the very few teams that can say they are 5-0 against P5 conference opponents outside their own conference.
Vandy, UK, Michigan, IU and TCU may not be up to their historical level this year, but when UL scheduled them, they were considered most formidable. I suspect that might influence our seeding.
