Louisville women's soccer opened the 2022 regular season with a 3-0 win at Lynn Stadium Thursday night over University of Illinois-Chicago (UIC).
The Cards scored all three goals in the first half -- Karsyn Cherry getting an unassisted score 6:20 into play. Her goal was followed a couple of minutes later when Maisie Whitsett drove home a rebound off a deflected shot to make it 2-0. IUPUI transfer Autumn Weeks capped off the scoring with 10 minutes left in the first half, on a nice feed from Whitsett.
Louisville returns to action Aug 25th. when they host #24 Xavier at 7:30 on campus.
