This women's soccer match-up tonight between the Cards and Cavaliers in Charlottesville should be a good one.

Louisville goes in off their bye-week and will be looking for their first-ever win against UVA in eight attempts. UVA was also off last week, but for different reason, their match against UNC was postponed/cancelled because of COVID. The Cavaliers had a depleted roster due to positive testing and also injuries.
That was back on October 7th.

The Cards are 3-1 and Virginia is 4-1-1. Louisville women's soccer is 13th in the latest polls/rankings and UVA is #11th. The match will be shown at 8 p.m. on the ACC Network. If your cable company carries it, it'll follow a scheduled 6 p.m. match between FSU and North Carolina. This one also should be a good one. These two are ranked #1 and #2 in the country.

Now, for today's question: Why is UVA as known as the Wahoos? When Paulie and I were there a few years ago for a football game, a UVA fan told us that the term is more for the students and fans, as in "they acted like a crazy bunch of Wahoos". Supposedly, a Wahoo is some sort of fish?
