They should be. If we were ND or Michigan or Oklahoma we definitely would be.Dude....really?? No!

Three losses by one score each to three teams currently in the top 10. Louisville could have won all three.
There will be other three loss teams ranked, so yes really!
There's no rule that says a 6 and 3 team cannot be ranked. I'm sure it's been seen many times. This win is big but we still have 3 losses and are 6-3. Need another win to have a chance.
Vanderbilt is a perfect example of disrespect because of who they have been. I couldn't believe they were 7.5 underdogs at a very bad but traditional Auburn team.Yes, because the RPI cannot be ignored, and both SMU and Miami will move up along with ND.
I believe Vanderbilt and UL are both under-rated, and deserve consideration given the quality of the quality of competition.
Not to take anything away from what appears to be a very good and undefeated IU football team, in contrast to UL, the Hoosiers have not played a single top 25 team yet, UL has played 3 teams rated at one time or another 3 in the top 10.
Someone needs tell Sagarin.Dude....really?? No!
Ranked #25 in AP pollLost:
10 TAMU
Both 11’s (Clem, Iowa St)
17 Kansas St
18 Pitt
24 Illinois (3 losses now)
No others have more than two L’s now
Even though we lost to #6, 8, and 20 by one score each we will be left out IMO.
And I truly hope we aren’t.
This team can’t get “cocky”.
Mr. Killjoy strikes again. We've played one good. complete game this year. One.
I'm just hoping we play well again in a couple weeks.
Ultimately, “ranking” is just somebody’s opinion. It really means nothing.I just don't get this attitude. Is every Louisville football team going to underperform when they're ranked? This notion that the Cards will falter when ranked because that happened before in Louisville history is frankly, silly.
The three loses this season had nothing to do with being "cocky" because we were ranked. There are several reasons but that's not one of them.
Being ranked is a reward for winning and that is the whole purpose of playing. Why would any fan prefer not to be ranked? I just don't get it.
I want Louisville football in the top 5 every season, but I would accept the top 25 because that would mean we're winning.
To be fair didn't Coach Brohm pretty much say the same thing?Mr. Killjoy strikes again.
I disagree. It may not mean nothing for post season positioning, but it means a lot for both the players and the fans. It's like a grading system and if you're in the top 25, you're getting good grades.Ultimately, “ranking” is just somebody’s opinion. It really means nothing.
Glad I was wrong.Ranked #25 in AP poll
Well, if that's the case aren't we fans silly caring about if they win or not? What's the point if it's not about team?TheRealVille said:

Because something has happened more than once is one good reason for it to not be “silly”.
They may very well continue to play their guts out, and I hope they do.
Many of these guys are playing for today’s money, and tomorrow’s money. NOT for the name on the front of the jersey. We don’t have the rep for them to think UofL is more important than they are.
Most are of the “me” generation. Many of them “quit” so as to not hurt their potential. We’ve had one already.
So to say they can’t get cocky is just…..silly.
Different times, different players and TOTALLY different fan attitudes.
It’s ironic you asked that.Well, if that's the case aren't we fans silly caring about if they win or not? What's the point if it's not about team?
It's up to the coaches, especially the head coach, to have the players wanting to win for the front of the jersey. If that's not the case here at UofL, it won't matter what we fans say.
I do have to agree with fishing. I would rather be out on the lake than watching a game on TV.It’s ironic you asked that.
I have caught myself being far less “involved “ than in the past.
I went fishing during the ND game. Should’ve during SMU.
Players getting paid, then quitting, get kicked out of games for playing real FB, double PI calls, and phantom penalty reversals, has busted a whole lot of my give a damn.
I hope they do well. Even great.
But if they don’t, there’s always fishing.
Not due to you personally, but that sentiment is at the root of a lot of our financial problems…It’s ironic you asked that.

It means something because top 25 teams get more coverage than those outside of the top 25... generally speaking.Ultimately, “ranking” is just somebody’s opinion. It really means nothing.
Moving 700 miles from Louisville made it easier to “distance” myself from something I NEVER thought I’d become “casual” about. Not due to you personally, but that sentiment is at the root of a lot of our financial problems…
So this question is not entirely directed to you but was wondering if the Cards were so much disrespected by ACC officials, how is it they are the only 3 loss team in the top 25? Wouldn't the ACC want as many teams as they can get in the top 25 or are we winning in spite of the conspiracy against us?Well, my question was answered. Cards are #22 in the playoff rankings.
