Crawford and Lane both predict NIU over the Cards. Eric says they are a great team.

No sense in watching the game. Oh well, at least we made the sexy 17.

Were is all the hype for this game ? On this board seems like everyone is expecting defeat GO CARDS!

Speed them up, get 35+ deflections and get lots of easy transition baskets and those 3 point shops drop short the less 10 minutes! Get the W Cards!

Hype? It's over on the uk board.

Expecting defeat?I don't think so.It will probably go down to the wire again.

They are a very good team. My bracket says one thing and my heart says another. IMO it will be a close game, in doubt to the final horn. GO CARDS!!!!!

The reality is that we will at best be in pick-em games starting tonite for as long as we survive and advance.

We will need luck and increasingly good team play to win with each game.

"Expect to win" folks here are either LPT trolls or clueless...

NIU had 24 games against teams ranked #119 or worse. They split with WSU and beat Iowa on a neutral floor. Nobody is picking us. We have always been good against the three in the past and not the worst this year. Their best shooting guard has a broken index finger that required surgery Friday night. It is his non-shooting hand though. I do think our guards are a little quicker. They have feasted on some pretty bad teams and really haven't played anyone really good except WSU. They rank almost in the 300's in terms of assists, but we aren't much better.

How silly do they feel now..........

Love it! I actually like Crawford in print and on the air (both on TV and as a radio host sub). BUT, I find it hard to believe with his rural Kentucky upbringing that he isn't a closet Wildcat! Pretty sure he was raised out in Shelby County, home of a Mike Casey, blah, blah, blah!

Crawford went to Louisville but is a Kentucky fan. His son exposed him while he was subbing on one of the afternoon sports shows. Apparently his son is a Cardinal fan but Eric is a cat fan.

Uh. no. Crawford is not a UK fan. He's pretty darn good at looking at both teams without taking sides.

This is wrong. Eric is definitely a UK fan at heart, but he does work very hard, and nearly always succeeds, in being objective about UofL and UK. I have no complaints about his coverage of UofL sports.

I think that both WDRB and their reporters have been very good for UL and their fabs. I don't care what team they are fans bit only want objectivity in their reporting. Everyone had NIU moving on. They overhyped both the team and the league. WSU has been great, But they are the only team really doing damage. I thought it was pretty clear that they were in over their heads against us.
