The WBB Cards will face UConn on Sunday Dec 19th at the Mohegan Sun Casino/Arena we found out this week.
This is a great opportunity for the Cards, despite it basically being a home game for the Huskies. (Although Geno would tell your differently). Between Storrs, Hartford and Uncasville -- they may be the only team in NCAA WBB with three "home courts".
Louisville will have a strong and deep roster for this one --just losing Dana to the WNBA and E. Balogun to Duke. Just look at these Cards !! Hailey, Kianna, Olivia, Liz, Ahlana, Kasa, Norika, Ramani, Merissah and adding transfers Emily Engstler and Chelsie Hall, plus freshmen Payton Verhulst and Sydni Schtenan.
Of coursed Geno has plenty of talent as well -- starting with Paige Bueckers. Geno also bringing in frosh standouts Saylor Poffenbarger, Carolina Ducharme, Azzi Fudd and Amarie DeBerr -- along with grad-transfer Dorcas Juhasz to join a lineup that returns Aaliyah Edwards, Christyn Williams, Olivia Nelson-Odoba, Aubrey Griffin, Evina Westbrook ...it's UConn and Geno attracts top talent.
Michigan will also be at Mohegan... playing Baylor in the other contest in the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame Showcase. No Mulkey for Baylor, of course, but still a bunch of talent on the Baylor roster.
