University of Louisville women's basketball's scheduled Sunday (Dec. 20) game against Miami has been postponed.
Another one -- the third postponement this week -- as the contests against North Carolina and Florida State were also postponed.
Louisville women's basketball paused all team-related activities indefinitely last Friday due to a positive COVID-19 test and accompanying contact tracing measures among individuals within the program.
And, there isn't any determination on how the pause in activities will affect future games beyond the Dec. 20 Miami contest. Duke WBB has gone "on hold" also -- so the Dec 31st. rematch in Durham could fall by the wayside also.
The team is adhering to the outlined protocols within the ACC Medical Advisory Group report.
The word is that UofL ticket holders will receive communication via email if additional changes are made to the schedule throughout the season. Given the unusual nature of this season – specifically, the current unknowns related to postponed games getting rescheduled – UofL Athletics appreciates the continued support, flexibility and understanding of its ticket holders Some of these have already gone out, I know of several season-ticket holders that have received these communiques.
The Cards remain #2 in the nation and will probably stay there to close out 2020. My New Year's Wish? A healthy team, games that take place and continued success for UofL WBB.
