Confidence goes a long way with young players. As we get into the early part of our schedule there will be some games where we get a large lead and allow CCM to play young guys extended minutes. Different guys at different times will have that breakout game where everything feels right .
Most of these guys play 3-4 years on highscool teams and are the best player on the team. Every night they are counted on to put up numbers and carry their respective teams. Then they get to college and most guys find their roles have changed so now they have to figure out how to play a different way while also learning a whole new system. I'm sure it can be difficult. The good ones figure it out some quicker than others.

I wasn't there, lol, but this makes sense to me. This is the same team that wimpered out at the end of the year, plus a bunch of talented new people. Does not concern me at all at this point because what you are describing just sounds realistic. I think the Top 5 stuff is more of what people should see towards the end, not in Oct/Nov/Dec.
