Interesting, you think 100 protesters will show up against adultery or will they accept him because they think he can produce wins? After this fiasco, I think the AD at UT better hire someone with a clean record.
The UofL Coach to _____ tightrope walk UK fans make has always been interesting to me. It begins with "nobody wants Coach _____" and transitions to "you won't be able to hire anybody to Louisville" once "Coach ______" is being talked about as a potential hire for a prominent program, then ends with "UofL will take a big step back with new "Coach _____". Same ole, same ole as the "when QB _____ leaves" BS. And the wins keep on coming. Good stuff. 
This presents an excellent point. We had better hope & pray that Jurich doesn't land at a "football school" because the likelihood of losing Bobby at that point skyrockets.
The problem is perception is reality, and half of Knoxville thinks that Schiano helped rape kids. So, Bobby liking some strange looks almost puritanical by comparison.
The AD, i understand, has only been on the job for a year. They are casting a wide net and even Fulmer is being bandied about to stabilize program for 1-2 years and assist in the hunt. Along with Cutcliffe. I hear Peyton offered to pay for the search firm but, then most say Currie, the AD went rogue to Columbus after Schiano saving UT money? That may change. The fact they are even considering an up and coming assistant shows me how desperate they are.
they need a proven HC winner, and should be able to get one with their tradition and all; not an assistant.
Exactly, while the issues of Schiano have not been proven, the issues of CBP are based on factual data.
One response I heard from an UT poster when asked about CBP was there are plenty of good coaches to be found without baggage.
Very few in Knoxville think Schiano had any involvement in the child abuse/rape scandal at Penn St. To my knowledge no one ever implicated Schiano in that mess. Many UT fans didn’t think Schiano was the best coach they could get so they used the Penn St scandal to hound the administration to renege on their offer. The film I saw of the UT protesters looked like a bunch of orange clad football fans, not a bunch of child protection activists. That may be one of the most loathsome acts I have ever seen. I’m not a big Schiano fan but no one deserves that. Even worse is the UT administration caving to the fan base.
Well, that's even worse. Instead of hearsay ignorance, they are willing to slander a man and scar him professionally just because they think Jon Gruden's coming and already looking at timeshares in Pigeon Forge.
This Sandusky thing is going to come up now every time Schiano is up for a job. What's his status with Ohio State? If they aren't willing to take him back, I hope Schiano sues UT. You know what, I hope he sues them anyway, given what they did. Then, Greg should go find Butch Jones to hang out with. They could go to a bar and have drinks and laughs at all the cool stuff they are going to buy with UT's money.
Just because Gundy used to have a sweet mullet, it doesn't mean he wants to live in Knoxsvuhl. Tell the folks who'll make up a rape story about Schiano about that, though.
It's widely reported that Gundy is talking to UT, but I don't see him going. Why would he? Coaching for his alma mater and all that. My guess is this is maneuvering on Gundy's part and we'll hear about him getting a nice raise in the next day or two.
The biggest problem with Schiano was his name wasn't Gruden. The internet furor fed on Gruden to UT like a fire.

But yet it is also a place wherein the SEC East is vulnerable, maybe less now with Mullen at Florida and a resurgence at Georgia. It is also a place where they continue to recruit in the top 10 nationally year in/year out.
Its a real good spot to sign a deal with a big buyout.

I must admit I agree with this. The FB program at UT is a mess. And Petrino is their 4th choice not where I would want to be. I think if it was a possibility it would have gained traction a long time ago. They need to go after Strong.
Why do they want Petrino? He’s a proven winner. I think will see an improved situation next year. We don’t want to be on that carousel trust me. There’s just no one out there right now. And I don’t want to hear Jeff Brohm..... it’s to soon. Right now we have an Interim President, AD, and a BOT full of nut jobs. Yeah we scream of stability.
Guys, the fact is Bobby Petrino has pretty much rehabbed his public image. No issues that I've heard since he's been back at UofL. Coach of a Heisman winner. Bowl games every year. Where I COULD see a domino fall is if Gundy took that job and opened OKState.
BUT....the man has it made in Louisville. He IS NOW the face of the athletic program. He also is starting to look at the age end of it and where retirement looks good.

UT athletics is an even bigger dumpster fire than at UL. I don’t worry about Bobby leaving. I do worry about Jeff Brohm going there. Tennessee is starting to become a coaching graveyard.

I think Bobby is staying for now. With Tom and Rick gone, UofL will be a football school and he will be the biggest figure at the school now. As he's gotten older, he probably realizes his legacy is important and he can go down as a legend at UofL if he stays and builds something that lasts after he leaves.
