USC QB Miller Moss

This will be a bidding war. Auburn is going to throw a boatload at a QB. He does fit Freeze offense. They have a ton of talent. That is where I think he ends up.

I am not so sure of Auburn, as Moss expresses a desire to play for a conference champion and I am afraid the SEC has already started moving past Auburn.

Texas, Alabama, UGA and LSU are purportedly investing enough money in the NIL to distance themselves from the rest of the conference. TX A&M, Oklahoma and Arkansas are expected to be right behind those aforementioned.

I agree to an extent, but it is hard to deny the $$$ plus being surrounded by those athletes while playing in SEC. Keep in mind these elite guy believe they can play anywhere.

Now of the flip side playing for Brohm in an easier conference with hopefully a loaded skill group and a returning Oline is extremely good selling point.

Impossible to predict the portal but this offense especially if the Oline returns basically intact has the potential to be ridiculous.

We don't have a returning OL or at least not much of one. Mendoza, Brown, Cutler, Miller, Gonzalez are seniors. A few of them 5th year seniors. Sanker left (hopefully not a big loss but he was highest rated OL in a while). Nygra and Collins remain.

Well, those 3 are a good base. Get 3 portal guys, and hopefully you have 3-4 young players that you are developing. That gets you to the magic Number of 10. That is what you need going into the season. 8 to 10 OLine players that you feel can play quality snaps for a season. Who do we have that are currently Frosh, both True and Red shirt, and Sophs. Those are the ones that we will need to fill the gaps. Jeff will easily get 3-4 portal guys. And he knows and understands what it takes the play at the Power four level!

That's a weird list.

It's flattering to be on it though.

This kid carved us up in the Holiday Bowl. If that's the kid we'd be getting, it's a no brainer. But what happened since our bowl game to have him hitting the portal? Admittedly, I have paid zero attention to him this past year.

Brohm has done well finding his QB each of the past two years. I trust him to do this again.

There is talk Brown may get another year not sure how that is possible.

Mills is a Jr.
Sylvester is a Jr. play a lot late.
Collins Jr
Nygra Jr
Robinson coming off injury.

Add a few portal guys it is a good line.

The local talking heads are hinting it will be the Cal QB.

Fernando Mendoza, 6'5. 3,000 yard passer 16 TD's.

Thing about him, he has more than one season of eligibility remaining. Brohm may be trying to stop the one and done QB transfer?

6'5" .... that tracks.

I watched him a bunch this year. He's mobile too. This would be a nice pick up.

I think the QB market will be wild. It is one position that teams have to get right and it is a hard one for some coaches to properly evaluate.

Man I hope it isn’t the Texas A&M QB but Louisville is on his list. He has all the tools but not sold on his ability to process things.

I trust Brohm.

What's your knock on Weigman? He was a highly rated 5 star QB. Had some injuries but so did Slough.

My main issue is he was benched. He was wildly inconsistent. In fairness to him it was a new offense that is more RPO and QB runs. Then you throw in really good defenses.

I like all the physical tools but really don’t like taking a guy that was benched. Now he maybe the guy that is like a really good shirt on the discount rack that has a small hole. Easy to fix. The price may be right.

Like I said I trust Brohm.

I am trying to be objective here, but honestly I cannot think of any HC in college football right now that has more respect than Jeff Brohm in developing a QB. I am not talking about the Lamar Jackson’s who are so athletic and talented that require little or any coaching; I am referring to those like Tyler Shough who have the tools to be effective, but require experienced tudoring.

Well, Brohm did take Plummer after benching him at Purdue.

I think there's several guys out there better than Moss. I think the dude at California, Fernando Mendoza would be a home run pick.
